Audience 8.7 – A somewhat slightly above average recording that thankfully remains very listenable and stable, there are some periods during the show where the tape improves maybe to an 8.8 but once your ears adjust and you settle in, at the end you will think it wasn’t bad at all. It is NOT muddy, in fact there’s very little tape hiss so this must emanate from a low gen tape or it has been worked on. When some songs go from quiet to loud (as they frequently do at a Pink Floyd concert), the tape machine seems to take a second to adjust, perhaps it has an automatic level adjuster, but despite those tiny momentary hiccups the tape is largely smooth sailing. Worth exploring!
