Audience 7.3 - This tape is a welcome find mainly due to the scarcity of live Amon Duul tapes in existence. Sound is not hi-fi, there is some tape noise, there is general noise, and there is music which thankfully can be heard through the din. Actually the mid to highs are intact, some bottom end is missing, it’s still not a completely annoying tape at all, can be enjoyed for what it is. -
Audience 7.1 - A rough tape that improved a lot with some mastering. Now, you actually can really tell what they are doing! Worth it for the improved sound. -
Pro Broadcast 9.3 - A long improvisational track which really is, in my opinion, way ahead of everyone else in terms of trying new things and being completely off the cuff with sounds and textures. It’s not like traditional space rock, in fact it is not even rock, although the band are players and can make noise when they want to make noise. The fidelity is solid, I can hear everything very clearly and ambience is abundant. Audience 8.4 - A smooth recording, pretty stable, but does lack some punch therefore it is recommended to “season to taste”, but thankfully the pallet is there to lay on your coloring. Some minor tape hiss pervades but is kind of background, my hunch is that this tape went through some mastering process to add boost and it helps a lot. It’s a good tape and a great show! The playing is top shelf by everyone, backing band is sharp and help to allow all the guitar pyrotechnics. 26th October – 21st December 1981: ALVIN LEE BAND - European & US Tour. Radio Broadcast 8.3-9.0 - Very old, and quite rare source material means a little analog degradation in the earlier broadcast but gets much better for the rest of the material. -
Soundboard 8.4 - A very obscure Danish hard rock band with a lot of heaviness to their sound, consequently the signal is maybe slightly overloaded but this is still a great recording and can be immensely enjoyed by all. -

They play what sounds like, to my ears, the same vintage equipment they must have used originally, or maybe their equipment was new in 1973 but I guess it is vintage now…as are the dudes ha ha! SDBRD 9.1 - Classic stuff, a great band at a great time, having a great time! The crowd is amped, the guitars are pumping, the bass and drums are thumping…aw yeah! -
Soundboard 8.9 - Kinda cool when you get these board tapes that pan a guitar, and then one other lead instrument to the other side, which in this case is keyboards. I think this allows for an examination of the instrument in question, so you might find yourself listening once and concentrating on guitar, then another time you’ll give drums and keys more attention…and that is why this show might have you coming back several times for more. Interesting! Audience 8.5 -This is one of those tapes that originated from a well-known local taper who produced some of the BEST stealth audience recordings of the decade but had to start somewhere, and that somewhere was not always as spectacular. The drums, specifically the cymbals, sound all washed out and annoying, even with careful remastering the effect is still present but much more bearable and in fact allows, finally, the true fan to actually appreciate this tape. Early show - Audience 7.7 - Cluttered, not distorting but some tape break up present as the volume was too much for the cassette player. Late Show - Audience 8.3 - A big step up from the earlier show, this one is clearer, sounds like taper had better seats. -

Soundboard 9.2 - This is the only known board tape from 1975. It’s very good, I find no real problems other than occasional drop outs, and it’s maybe a little distracting here and there but I don’t think it kills the fun. Audience 7.4 - Pretty average recording, a touch distorted, but Duane comes through it all which is what you want. -
Audience 7.0 - Somewhat distorted due to proximity to the stage and volume. The tape is clearly overloaded and struggling here. Now the good news – this is a Duane Allman showcase, and he is clear on this tape! It’s a keeper, but not winning any prizes. -

Audience 9.0- The band taped these rehearsals which consist of writing, ideas, smoking lots of dope, jamming, and smoking more dope. -
Soundboard 9.2 - A good tight mix that emphasizes the vocals and Duane which I am 100% ok with! A joy to listen to. -
Audience 8.1 - This is actually an admirable capture, getting the entire performance with relatively few (if any) cuts. The tape is not that bad, it is just pretty old and struggles to contain the entire frequency spectrum so you get a tiny bit of “static” where the band is really loud and jamming. It’s pretty clear though, and thankfully the guitars shine through well, with a good rounded bass holding down the lows. -
Audience 7.5 - Serviceable tape that at times shows its age with some telltale squeaking at the beginning. Gives you a pretty good representation of the show without offending , but the mix has vocals kind of low, and overall is a touch on the dark side but Duane’s playing is the focus, where it is front and center in the mix. -
Audience 8.8 - A great, atmospheric and electrically charged show! Not a lot of heaviness to the bottom, but there is a roundness there, a pleasant to the ears mid rangy kind of sound with a lot of articulation on the high end (not shrill!) which causes the slide work from Duane to fill the hall and make for tons of electricity. Collectors will love this one. Now, one small thing to report, there is sometimes some minor static on the tape (barely noticeable) but it’s no bother. Get this! -
Audience 8.8 - A fierce sounding tape that has been re-mastered and shows some depth and instrument separation that previously was not there. The vocals at times are drowned out in the sheer onslaught of bass, drums, and guitars. The band even reminds a little of Deep Purple (check out “Every Hungry Woman” as a prime example) with keyboards featuring prominently so be ready for what is best described as heavier than normal Allman Brothers. Audience 8.2 - A loud and raucous tape, with a band of noise in the upper mid frequency that prevents better separation of instruments. Saving grace? Duane is the clearest instrument on this recording – in fact it is his guitar that soars over the sound to the degree that you almost inevitably focus solely on him throughout. As it happens, Gregg’s vocals are next up in the mix. Audience 8.7 - It’s definitely rare to find unknown Allman Brothers recordings featuring Duane, and here we have one new to circulation. The sound quality is very good, it really is from the master (obvious when you hear how clean it is) and it sounds like it has been gently mastered for optimum fidelity. A great find!
