• Soundboard 9.3 - This is a rough and tumble sort of board tape. Obviously never meant to be used in any official release, but it does certainly get the job done regardless. Very definitive instrument separation so you can concentrate on any instrument you want and you will get maximum information out of it – until you choose another one and then you will get stuck on that one. • Soundboard 9.2 - A lot of free form jamming here, what they call Mountain Jam is really made up of some improvisation before the band goes off into this more structured jam, and the show is a little condensed but sounds like it is much longer than it actually is. • CD 1 - Soundboard  9.2 CD 2 - Audience  8.9
  • Audience 9.2 - Very clear and a good amount of atmosphere to give you a real sense of what it was like to be there. I also like how the bass and guitar sound, some tasty tonality to sink your ears into.
  • Pro Studio  9.7 - A real treat, "From The Inside" has atmosphere and is great in pretty much every aspect. Hard to not fall in love with this one.
  • Soundboard  8.8 - Good to hear this material live, the band was so good in 1971, this board tape reveals that.
  • Soundboard 8.8 - A very old sounding tape that received a recent “facelift” giving it some more punch while reducing tape noise (without compromising any high end). What you end up with is another very good early performance (whilst the band was still doing some Pretties For You numbers) in very good quality. I never get tired of the early Alice Cooper stuff, even if I still don’t understand “Sun Arise” ha ha! Alice Cooper Paramount Theatre Seattle, WA, USA July 10, 1971 01 Intro (1:37) 02 Sun Arise (5:07) 03 Caught In A Dream (2:49) 04 I'm Eighteen (5:32) 05 Is It My Body (8:14) 06 Second Coming (2:40) 07 Ballad Of Dwight Fry (7:33) 08 Black Juju  (9:50) Vincent Furnier (Alice Cooper) - Lead Vocals, Harmonica Glen Buxton - Lead Guitar Michael Bruce - Rhythm Guitar, Keyboards, Backing Vocals Dennis Dunaway - Bass Guitar, Backing Vocals Neal Smith - Drums, Backing Vocals
  • FM Broadcast 8.8 - A tape that sounds…1978. That doesn’t mean it’s bad at all, it’s just a rather dated sounding broadcast to my ears. That means it kind of captures the time period rather well, and the quality itself is pretty good, but not exhibiting the usual dynamic of an FM broadcast. Not enough 1978 era tapes of excellent quality though, so grab this one. • Audience  9.1 - Excellent and great, electric atmosphere. Yup, a certain keeper!
  • Soundboard  9.0 - A mix that captures the band firing on all cylinders, certainly you have to say that Alice Cooper had total command of performance throughout his career and if you worried that his drinking might affect him onstage, well listen to these early shows. I hear no signs of inebriation. In fact this is extremely tight and strong performance wise.
  • Audience 8.8 - This rates highly as a new audio tape discovery from decades ago you might have low expectations but it’s a good, clear (but for Alice being a little low in the mix) and I would say powerful show in sound and performance. Alice Cooper Circus Krone Munich, Germany November 15 1972 01 Public Animal #9  7:52 02 Caught In A Dream  1:39 03 Under My Wheels  1:47 04 Be My Lover  2:36 05 I'm Eighteen  7:34 06 Is It My Body/My Very Own  8:37 07 Halo of Flies  11:26 08 Gutter Cat vs the Jets 5:55 09 Street Fight  6:13 10 Killer  10:18 11 Elected  6:54 12 School's Out  12:20
  • Audience 8.7 - A tape that finds balance even with the somewhat squashed sound, because it is pretty clear regardless. Fills a lot of gaps in my Alice Cooper collection as these Lace And Whiskey tour shows seem few and far between compared to other tours.
  • Pro  9.0 - This recording is great for the time period but it seems that it has been remastered to remove what was probably a great deal of hiss. There’s some left here, but I gotta say this is still one hell of a nice recording.
  • Audience  8.3 - A great effort by the taper to capture and preserve a rock concert in his hometown with what sounds like pretty good gear. The levels are a touch low, but the fact that everything is pretty clear and there’s no distortion at all, well I tip my hat to this guy! A good one.
  • Pro Soundboard  9.8 - One of the best ever. Must get it.
  • Soundboard  9.2 - Very direct and forceful sounding, but a touch harsh I would say. Still I am being picky, it’s a damn good one!
  • Studio Quality 8.9 - The quality is great but you have to get past the first song and a half as there is some static present. Once you move past those tracks you get some very interesting studio rehearsals and outtakes. I love the rawness here, it’s very visceral and powerful. • Audience  7.3 - A rip-roaring, over the top onslaught of greasy rock and roll captured painfully close to the PA. Sounds like this may be lifted from vinyl, and there’s tape noise artifacts present. But, all that taken into account, this is still a very good time and not painful on the ears despite the volume (I think someone attempted to remaster this but it can use one more time).
  • Pro Soundboard  9.5 - Stellar, super clean!
  • Soundboard  8.9 - It’s a very clean, good board but it features a heavy reverb sound, but it’s probably natural reverb. Still an interesting kind of atmospheric recording.
  • Audience 8.6 -A sonic blast not held back by some of the typical limitations such as the actual venue itself which is notorious for sounding more like a gymnasium than a concert hall. Tape cannot be faulted for being muddy, it’s not very clean, but that is due to proximity to PA and unprofessional gear. That being said, the tape scores high in terms of sheer electricity and fun…once your ears adjust, yeah, but what a ride!  Band did not know they were being taped by someone so I guess this is a pretty honest performance. They sound very primitive, underground, gritty…and I guess that is why Cooper made changes because perhaps that style and sound was getting outdated on such a large caliber tour. Personally, I much prefer this honest, maybe if a bit more crude, band sound. • Soundboard  8.7 - It’s fine just sounds a little dated to me, all the instruments are present which is cool since a lot of times Glenn’s guitar is mixed low or struggles to be heard.
  • Soundboard  9.7 - Sparkling, immaculate, totally pro mix and sound.
  • Pro Radio Broadcast  9.2 - Sounds very much like a product of its time, and, it is rather good and Aldo shreds convincingly.
  • Audience  8.4 - Very rare show, perhaps slightly on the thin side but screaming guitar and vocals stand out. A must have for any Aldo Nova fan!
  • Studio Quality  9.5 - Demo Sessions from "No Parole From Alcatrazz ".
  • Audience  8.0 - Crisp and loud mids/highs with a little lacking in bottom but very enjoyable nonetheless. The band sometimes sounds a little unsure, but the energy is great.
  • Audience 9.1 - Small club vibe permeates this very intimate recording as Al sings his songs with a crack band behind him…often chatting it up with the audience who responds in kind. As I listened, I could not help but think this music really reminds me of Lou Reed, with less bratty New York attitude and more gay San Francisco.
