Audience 8.8 - A very solid recording with kicking mid and bottom, but yet pretty defined. Maybe a little compressed, but not much, and a great show, so this one comes recommended. -
Audience 8.9 - Super duper guitar and drums in this mix, especially the toms and cymbals which normally you do not get a distinction out of them. Guitar just absolutely KILLS in this mix and on this performance. Wow! -

Audience 8.6 - A little far back, in the middle of a rowdy crowd, and not clearly defined with a very deep bass pumping. Now, the positives – it is a clear recording with no distortion and vocals are above it all allowing you to hear lyrics well, guitar fills out the rest of the sound in the mix. Drums and bass are occupying an indistinct bottom end, although let me give credit to the sound guy because bass drum is excellent here. This recording will grow on you as you adjust. -
Audience 9.4 - Why such a high rating? Because this recording captures the fire on stage in a way that puts you literally right in the front of the action, clearly, and with force. The taper needs a few minutes to find position but once he settles in, strap on your seat belts because you will be in for one wild ride! -
Audience 9.3 - It’s hard to get much better than this as far as overall enjoyment…for one thing yes it sounds great but man, the band is in the pocket, razor sharp and ready to fuck things up in Netherlands. Sammy has his shtick so dialed in it is easy to forget the effortless banter of his nemesis David Lee Roth. And…finally there is Satch’s incredible fiery guitar work that is quite breathtaking here. Soundboard 9.4 - This is a collection of all soundboard recordings and they all vary but all excellent. I gave a generally very high rating because all in all I think it rates at least in the mid 9’s based on not only quality of sound but of content as well. Audience 7.7 - Ever wonder what the opening act was like? OK, so this is a great example of that – a band that opened for Jethro Tull in 1970 and someone recorded them. Are they good? They are very competent and it’s easy to see why they got the slot. The recording is kind of one-dimensional but sufficient to allow you to hear it all, with clarity, just not a lot of dynamics. This is probably the only existing live recording of them so it’s worth grabbing. -
Soundboard 9.0 - A large, open air festival “board” tape which probably uses some open stage micing. I would venture to guess this must have been a difficult show to control, and a recording made with an eye for a broadcast that they fought with every step of the way. That said, it’s pretty good stuff under all the circumstances. Soundboard 9.3 - Fantastic! Now I was not familiar with this band, but I must say, it’s pretty good musically with emphasis on their white-hot lead guitarist. The songs aren’t anything super duper, and their singer isn’t sensational either, but in combination all this works together to become a little more than the individual parts. I like this guitar! I already made that point but it’s worth repeating. Audience 6.9 Get ready for mass volume, shocking that the tape does not distort! You want guitar?... good because that is what you get the most of from this show – then Ginger and then vocals. -
Audience 7.2 - 7.6 During the quite (or less loud I should say) portions, this tape shines. At full throttle, there’s a bandwidth issue with this tape, meaning the music is too much for the narrow bandwidth of the cassette to contain. That being said, there’s no distortion, miraculously – and despite the massive volume you still get a reasonable clearness of the music. If it was just a little more distinct, this could be one of those “feels like your there” tapes. -
Audience 7.8 Spectacular 67 gig this one! First, the excellent set list featuring some songs rarely, if ever before, played live. Second, a good, solid immediate sound to this tape. No, it is not perfect, it is very loud (no distortion) but man it is electric in every sense. Guitar is KILLER, the sound and the playing. Very very interesting show and one to get! -

Audience 8.6 - Legendary band that sadly ended up being one of those acts that people still talk about when discussing music industry fuck jobs. This recording is good enough for the listener to hear everyone on stage. It’s not going to give you a broad spectrum throughout the frequencies due to the limitations of the cassette recorder but my goodness the energy does come through! It’s a decent recording, it’s well worthy of being in a collection and I for one could not stop listening to it once I pressed “play” because it rocks!
