  • Brand New - Soundboard - Here we have a totally unheard, uncirculated soundboard recording of Van Halen during their "Diver Down "tour ("Hide Your Sheep tour") on October 24th, 1982. This is the last of three consecutive nights Van Halen played at The Worcester Centrum in 1982. It appears that not even an audience recording of these Worcester shows have circulated previously.
  • Audience 9.7 - So good it should be officially released. Casual fans would find the quality remarkable. Supertramp The Forum Inglewood, CA April 4, 1979 Disc 1 01. School 02. • Audience 9.7 - Simply gorgeous this one. Full, dynamic, clear, and a great balance of instruments for what can only be described as a thoroughly pleasant and infinitely enjoyable audience recording. I have to say this could very well be a MUST HAVE for the collection. Jethro Tull Dorothy Chandler Pavilion Music Center Los Angeles, CA January 16, 1977 Disc 1 01. Quartet 02. Wonderin’ Aloud 03. • Soundboard 9.2 - Some fiddling at the board to dial in the mix starts this recording, so bear with it because it does get better. This board is not as smooth and sparkling as the one on Volume 1, but it still kicks ass all day long. Ted Nugent Mississippi Coast Coliseum Biloxi, MS January 10th 1979 Disc 1 1. Stormtroopin' (4:35) 2. Just What The Doctor Ordered (5:13) 3. Free-For-All (6:57) 4. Dog Eat Dog (5:16) 5. Cat Scratch Fever (4:29) 6. Need You Bad (5:37) 7. I Got The Feelin' (5:24) 8. • Soundboard 9.8 - It's been a blast hearing all these killer Nuge board tapes that have surfaced recently. This one is a rip-roaring beast, within the first three minutes you know your going to just get annihilated. The audio quality is redonkulus and the band is just amazing, as is Ted's scorching, ripping lead work. Fantastic! Ted Nugent Richmond Coliseum Richmond, VA. January 6th 1979 1. Stormtroopin' (4:38) 2. Just What The Doctor Ordered (6:40) 3. Free-For-All (5:55) 4. Dog Eat Dog (4:53) 5. Cat Scratch Fever (4:51) 6. Need You Bad (5:44) 7. I Got The Feelin' (5:26) 8. • Brand New - Soundboard -Ratt Live at Monsters Of Rock, Pforzheim, Germany, on 30th August '87. A Must for any Ratt fan! This band has no other official live album from their "hey day".
  • Brand New - Soundboard - Iron Maiden, a NEVER BEFORE RELEASED soundboard recoding from 1983. You can get any better than this! A must for every serious Iron Maiden collector!
  • Audience 9.5 - You can relax into this show, it's occupying a very pleasant space when the soundwaves wash over you and you begin to have a sense of the size of the venue, the space around you, and the distance from the stage. That's what I like about smaller venue recordings, and modern taping gear is getting so much better with the mic technology and level adjust that it's really hard to screw it up. Susanna Hoffs McCabe's Guitar Shop Santa Monica, Ca April 28, 2012 10:00 PM show 01. intro 02. Raining 03. November Sun 04. Always Enough 05. Different Drum 06. Picture Me 07. All I've Got to Do 08. • Audience 8.9 - A recording that seems to “rise above” the din because literally it sounds like the mic was over the crowd. It makes for a more immersive experience, and the fact that the dynamics are good and the sound is clear…well it just goes to prove once again that a well made audience tape is more than welcome in any real live music collection.

  • Studio Quality 9.5 - The average rating here in the mid 9.0’s because except for the occasional minor hiss, this material consists of professionally recorded, live in studio sessions. Good to have it all in a well constructed collection like this.

  • Audience 9.1 - Here’s a rarity of sorts, a late 80’s Jefferson Airplane show. So, how relevant were they in the grunge rock era?  There’s plenty of fire left in this rock band, and rock they do!  Quality is very good here, so your ears can relax and your mind can drift away as you re-engage yourself with what really matters…great, original rock and roll. • FM Broadcast 9.8 - Just about as good as it can get, this captures the moment and freezes it forever in such granular detail that it feels like you are sitting right next to Dickie’s amp. It makes you appreciate his playing like never before. I mean, I play the guitar, but I have no concept of how you turn it into an extension of yourself to the degree that it is practically impossible to make even the slightest mistake. Not that his playing is perfection, it almost is, but just that he uses the instrument to convey so much feeling that it is impossible even to tell if he ever misses a note or phrases something wrong. Does that make sense? NOTE: The artwork shows disc two with only the last two tracks but the set has been tracked to include "Jessica" and "The Way Love Goes" on disc 2...so the artwork will not be changed to reflect the song order it just is what it is. Dickey Betts & Great Southern The Bottom Line NYC, NY. 4/19/77 (early show) Disc 1 01 pre ramble 02 Blue Sky 03 Run Gypsy Run 04 Out To Get Me 05 Bougainvillea 06 In Memory of Elizabeth Reed 07 Nothing you Can Do 08 Southbound Disc 2 09 Jessica 10 The Way Love Goes 11 talk 12 High Falls 13 Ramblin' Man
  • Audience 9.5 - Many of you will be surprised by my rare high rating for an audience tape…but man, I gotta tell you, this is 100% justified. Yes, it’s sonically really nice, but it delivers that magical quality that real fans know about and is kind of hard to explain the uninitiated. Let me try: you feel like you are seated there at the show, you feel the anticipation, you know what is about to happen yet can’t quite believe how actually incredible it truly is. Enough hyperbole, you get it, I love this one. But to be fair, the recording quality is more like a 9.2, still great, but it’s the atmosphere, the spaciousness, the rolling drums that seem to pan across the speakers, the great sound mix, all of it equals pure magic and a legitimate 9.5. Queen Long Beach Arena Long Beach, CA December 20, 1977 Disc 2 01 We Will Rock You intro 02 Brighton Rock 03 Somebody To Love 04 Death On Two Legs 05 Killer Queen 06 Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy 07 I'm In Love With My Car 08 Get Down Make Love 09 The Millionaire Waltz 10 You're My Best Friend 11 Liar 12 Love Of My Life 13 '39 Disc 2 14 My Melancholy Blues 15 White Man 16 The Prophet's Song 17 Guitar Solo 18 The Prophet's Song (reprise) 19 Now I'm Here 20 Stone Cold Crazy 21 Bohemian Rhapsody 22 Keep Yourself Alive 23 Tie Your Mother Down 24 We Will Rock You* 25 We Are The Champions 26 Sheer Heart Attack 27 Jailhouse Rock 28 God Save The Queen
  • Soundboard 9.8 - Damn near perfection here. There are a couple of very desirable boards from this tour and this, by far, is one of them. Grab it!
