• Audience 8.8 - Very clear and with enough dynamics present to really provide an authentic experience of virtually being there. These kinds of recordings, while technically not considered as excellent (unfairly) due to the measurable fidelity of the audio (in the objective sense) are actually excellent in their own right. This is a well done recording, with the sound “floating” above you and giving you a sense of time and place, of literally being there. • Soundboard 8.7 - This is clear enough and is a board tape but my guess is that it is actually sourced from a line feed (video) because I do notice some compression on the signal. Still, it is highly enjoyable, getting ample amounts of bass, drums, and of course guitars (even some panning effects now and then, very cool). Capital Centre Landover, MD. • All discs are Audience recordings of VERY GOOD quality. All sound bright, and with the exception of maybe one show (which sounds a little crowded up in the middle frequency), are pretty wide and clear. Having listened to all of it, I have to rate this set as spectacularly fun to listen to, it's just a really good time for the band who are riding high on their successes but not yet ready to relax too much. Having a good time, but meaning business too. Great stuff! • Audience 9.2 - All three shows are recorded with high end gear, with a respectful audience – and the results are decidedly excellent. It’s a joy to listen to these shows, back to back, and just marvel at the grandiosity on display. These were different times, so painfully obvious when you listen, and quite sad to realize it ain’t ever happening again. • Audience 9.0 - A sweet, warm, and spacious (mostly) recording that came out of nowhere. First of all, it’s already a rarity to find a tape of Rush from the UK, second, it’s a great vintage. The show?  Awesome! This is, quite simply, a must have. • Audience 9.1 - A really fine recording and a great show this is! Some minor limitations present during very heavy passages where the equipment fails to maintain the clarity we get used to during most of this show – but it’s not a deal-breaker at all because the recording remains powerful without distorting which is critical to the success of the tapers’ efforts here. You might lose a touch of vocals and some clarity (a little bit) but that will not detract from the pleasure you will get from this show. • Audience 8.8 - Most likely master tape source here, there’s no tape noise it is super clear. More emphasis on the upper mid and highs, but it’s not shrill or anything like that. This is a very good recording. • Audience 8.8 - Clear and bright, and wide open enough to be able to get a realistic sense of what it was like at the venue. • Audience 9.2 - A big and warm sound here, with excellent clarity and dynamics. The music at full blast gets just a bit of overload (not distortion, but just a sense of the wall of sound thing) all in all it is safe to say this one is highly recommended. • CD 1 Audience 8.5 - A very good sounding tape here, nothing that annoys the ears, in fact it is clear with a solid impact vocal and smoothly integrated guitar/bass. I did notice some phasing effect but it’s not even a bother at all, in fact in this case it adds some atmospherics. Solid! CD2 Audience 8.7 - Slightly more distant than the previous show but certainly has good clarity, a more even mix as far as the drums being at the same level as guitar, bass, and vocals. It gains points in the overall clarity, sounding like a master was used as there is virtually no tape noise, no mid-band muddiness, really CLEAR! Turn up the volume because it sounds way much better at loud levels.
