    BLACK CROWES – Houston 1991 (1CD)

Original price was: $16.49.Current price is: $15.49.
Audience 8.5 - A significant evening for the band as they headline their first show, just after being booted from ZZ Top tour. Sounds fine, taper does maneuver at times and the movement is picked up on the sensitive mic, but overall this is very listenable if not overly dynamic. Good to have it, a very important show in Black Crowes history.
  • Audience 8.5 -This is one of those tapes that originated from a well-known local taper who produced some of the BEST stealth audience recordings of the decade but had to start somewhere, and that somewhere was not always as spectacular. The drums, specifically the cymbals, sound all washed out and annoying, even with careful remastering the effect is still present but much more bearable and in fact allows, finally, the true fan to actually appreciate this tape. • Formed in 1969, legendary heavy Southern psyche rock group Josefus took Texas by storm, recording a monumental LP (Dead Man) and touring throughout Texas in 1969 (opening act for Grand Funk on most of the Texas dates). Somehow, through all the craziness, they have kept it together (original singer and guitarist) all these years and continue to record and play live. This CD showcases an exceptional live performance on one side (this was originally done on vinyl which is now out of print) and a rare 1978 studio session on the other side (was lost for over 35 years!). A killer disc!
  • Brand new! Features rare live performances spanning the years 1979 - 1986. Fans will be well pleased to finally hear lost classics like Moods, and Wink Of An Eye.
  • Import CD of an album recorded by Jeff Fenholt (Black Sabbath vocalist...briefly) with some other luminaries including Andrew "Duck" McDonald (Blue Cheer) and Joey Belladonna (Anthrax). LTD to 300 copies. UK import. NEW SEALED
  • The controversial Seventh Star sessions that saw Jeff Fenholt on vocals which was not the best fit for the band, however since he wrote most of the songs it led to an awkward situation and the project was shelved because Tony found someone he wanted to sing those tracks and it wasn't Jeff.  Two different covers, choose your favorite or get both! UK import. Digipac SEALED

  • Osaka 2019 SDBRD 9.4  - This is how you do it if you want to become rock stars. I don’t mean the performance, I mean record yourself and let the tape out so you get bootlegged. Anyway, it’s Led Zeppelin 2.0 for the uninitiated.
  • Pro Radio Broadcast  9.1 - Legendary WCBN live broadcast when the band were peaking and sounding so good. What happened?
  • SDBRD 9.8  - Almost absolutely perfect, like you get both guitars in their own space so you can hear what each player is doing perfectly. This is how I prefer to listen to ACDC!
  • FM Broadcast  8.8 - Once you get past the first song which has some channel dropouts, it’s all systems go full tilt boogie for reals. This is just flat out awesome!
  • SDBRD pre-FM source 9.4  - Legendary for the pristine sound quality but let’s not forget that the late 70’s was ACDC at their best. This is one for the books.
