• Soundboard 9.6 - Professionally recorded for broadcast, this is a pre-FM tape source. They say this is one of the best live Kinks show ever. Debatable, but yeah it’s pretty damn good.   The Kinks live Winterland, San Francisco 1977.02.19 PRE-FM Recording - KSAN Master Reel (except tracks 1, 21 & 22 from FM broadcast) Disc 1 01 - You Really Got Me (Intro) 02 - One Of The Survivors 03 - Sleepwalker 04 - Rush Hour Blues 05 - You Make It All Worthwhile/Ordinary People/Everybody's A Star 06 – Lola(singalong)/Banana Boat Song 07 - A Well Respected Man 08 - Sunny Afternoon 09 - Waterloo Sunset 10 - Celluloid Heroes 11 - Schooldays 12 - Schooldays(reprise)/The Hard Way 13 – Education   Disc 2 14 - Brother 15 - Stormy Sky 16 - Life Goes On 17 - Full Moon 18 - Lola 19 - Alcohol 20 - You Really Got Me/All Day All Of the Night 21 - Life On the Road 22 – Victoria   Total Time = 112:45   Ray Davies - guitar, vocals Dave Davies - lead guitar, vocals Andy Pyle - bass John Gosling - piano, keyboards Mick Avory - drums Nick Newell - sax Debbie Doss - background vocals Shirley Roden - background vocals
  • Audience 8.2 and 8.4 - Both recordings, while limited in their own respective ways, are both MUST HAVES for the early Motley Crue collectors because they are pretty listenable, with the nod going to the later show even though it is narrower in its bandwidth (it is, however, much clearer). The ‘81 show is a little cluttered in the center, but has broader range and sounds “hot” so to speak. • Audience 9.7 - Wow! This is one badass recording! Great seats, great atmosphere, phenomenal sound, and great performance. This is the real deal, get it! • Audience 8.6 - A surprisingly good recording, given what had to be less than ideal conditions – small nightclub, primitive gear, etc. But they pulled it off, and captured what one might think of as Roxy Music’s “rookie card” since it is like their 2nd gig of their first US tour. Very very cool! • Soundboard 8.8 - A real surprise, and a real treat this one! The band is playing a college campus and having been on the road for a while their chops are all finely honed. It’s so nice to hear a tape where Terry’s guitar is articulate and clear and not buried in the mud. This is NOT a muddy tape, if you are getting tired of hearing all those muddy early 70’s tapes out there, this one is for you. Chicago Stephen F. • Soundboard 8.9 - Great performance here, one of the best I have heard quite frankly. Having just ditched the classic line up, you would think a downturn in performance caliber would occur but I do not get that here at all.

  • Soundboard 9.3 - A great recording of a great hair metal band (I mean, they could play!) in their prime. I used to brush it off when I was a young man, but now I appreciate great musicians not matter how they dress or act. Good is good.

  • Audience 8.8 - Spacious and lush, a full spectral sound range to wrap your ears around. This is what I would call a fully immersive live recording and it’s all thanks to a fan with great gear and a passion for preservation. Great stuff!

  • Audience 8.8 - Quite an amazing find! A very rare and previously uncirculated show that sounds very clean and close, and it’s the original line-up! I have to categorize this as a must have.
  • Sale!

LED ZEPPELIN – Nassau Coliseum, NY. 2-13-75 (3CD)

Original price was: $28.49.Current price is: $26.49.
Soundboard 9.8  - You can’t do much better than these, mainly because the board tape itself is full of life and expertly mixed in contrast to other more sterile boards. The other is because the band is firing on all cylinders, and taking improvisation to dizzying heights as evidence by the No Quarter, Dazed and Confused marathon improve sections.
  • Audience 8.8 - Another great tape made by someone obviously knowing what they were doing. There are a couple of cuts here and there, not deal breakers by any means but full disclosure. Anyway, a solid, in the pocket recording of a sizzling gig with great interplay between Jobson and Beck.
  • Audience 9.3 - Did you miss Queen in their prime? Don’t worry, because now you can be there again by listening to this show. I think every English band that plays Boston elevates their game, perhaps it is because Boston feels like home to them…it is kind of quaint and vaguely British I guess.
  • Sale!

    PINK FLOYD – Paris 1977 (2CD)

Original price was: $23.49.Current price is: $22.00.
Audience 9.1 - The last of a four night stand in Paris, and probably the best of the recordings made. Strong, clear, and a nice warm mid tone, although not as atmospheric, meaning taper must have been close (and knew how to operate the recording levels!).
  • Sale!

    URIAH HEEP – Seattle 1973 (2CD)

Original price was: $23.49.Current price is: $22.00.
Audience 8.7 - A good strong sounding tape with a minimal bit of clutter somewhere in the middle frequencies that does not distract thankfully. Recorded on some good gear, you can tell. Just listen to the organ when the music stops during Gypsy and you know what I'm talking about...just ripping!
