• Brand New - Sealed  Sound quality on all releases on this label is excellent.
  • Studio 9.8 - As expected, near perfect quality. The mix is a bit different to the album we all know and love, but not enough to change the total badassery of the tones, complexity, inventiveness, and composition. Just a great artifact to get a slightly altered perspective. Megadeth Peace Sells...But Who's Mixing? Alternate mixes 1. Wake Up Dead 2. The Conjuring 3. Peace Sells 4. Devil's Island 5. Good Morning - Black Friday 6. Bad Omen 7. Ain't Superstitious 8. My Last Words Dave Mustaine - Vocals, Guitar David Ellefson - Bass Chris Poland - Guitar Gar Samuelson - Drums
  • Soundboard 8.3 - I found a lot to sink into with this very early Megadeth recording. First off, it’s better sounding than the old tape that floated around for a while, as someone took the time to re-master it and pitch correct it which makes a big difference. It’s still a little narrow and thin, but you’ll be blown away by what you are hearing, if you have even a mild interest in the formative years of Megadeth, this show is a must. Band: Megadeth Venue: Country Club: Reseda, CA, USA Date: September 19, 1985 Time: 42:20 The last show with Mike Albert (who was replacing Chris in the tour). Setlist: 1. Good Morning-Black Friday
  • Audience 8.7 - I can imagine the difficulty in trying to capture something like this with all of the challenges not least of which is sheer volume and venues not ideal for the kind of acoustics metal presents. Does that mean this recording is bad? No, it's obviously done on gear that can handle the job, but to my ears it's something that you will need at least two songs to adjust, but once you do, it becomes the kind of tape that finds you sort of hanging on to see what happens next. It just feels like it will keep improving and maybe it does, or maybe you just find that you kind of dig it. MEGADETH TOKYO 1988 1ST NIGHT Live at Nakano Sunplaza Tokyo, Japan 12th July 1988 01. • Audience 9.6 - Scary good! It would be easy to dismiss this offhand simply because it is 2007 and maybe you are thinking it is not indispensable Megadeth right? Wrong answer. This recording will give you newfound respect and appreciation for this band, with their ultra tight, ultra-sophisticated sense of craft and ability, you will say “yes, time to rediscover this band again” just like I did after listening to this.
  • Studio Quality 8.7/9.0 - Here you have the ultimate rare collection if you are into that early, classic mid 80's Megadeth (which most are). I know this has had repeated plays in my house! Live in London - Soundboard 9.3 Megadeth Ultimate Rare Tracks and Live (last 7 tracks Live in London 1987) 1. Wake Up Dead 2. Chosen Ones 3. These Boots 4. • Soundboard 9.4 - Even though I am less of a hardcore metalhead these days compared to, say, when I was in my 20's, I can honestly say I still enjoy listening to Megadeth music. The fact is, when you get a recording this good, when you can hear everything clearly, you better understand the genius that is Dave Mustaine. Let's face it - the guy is just gifted. How you can sing and play those insane, complex chord patterns, I will never know. • Audience 8.8 - A rather good tape, it's kind of rare to find something like this just because of the extreme volume and what not that metal presents to taping gear - but this one shines. Sometimes the rhythm guitar seems to drop out a little in the mix, every now and then but that might be a PA or mix thing. Metallica - The Ecstasy of Aragon Aragon Ballroom Chicago, Il, USA February 9, 1985 1. The Ecstacy of Gold 2. Fight Fire With Fire 3. Ride The Lightning 4. Phantom Lord 5. The Four Horsemen 6. Anesthesia - Pulling Teeth 7. For Whom The Bell Tolls 8. No Remorse 9. Fade To Black 10. Seek And Destroy 11. Whiplash 12. Creeping Death 13. Am I Evil? 14. Motorbreath
  • Soundboard 8.7 - Signs of age on the old tape, it’s not from a master source but you know, it’s early Metallica in soundboard quality! You don’t have to be a metalhead to be able to appreciate what this band did, and listening to a decently mixed board allows you to hear more of the musicality and musicianship.
  • Audience 8.9 - Easily one of the best auds of the early Metallica era. This is one that I am sure every Metallica collector already has but if you are just curious, or maybe only recently getting turned on to this stuff, well you gotta get this one.

  • Soundboard 9.1 - This is a strong, powerful sounding board with a pretty decent sound mix, although not super clear, but not a muddy mess…somewhere in between the two but leans toward being mostly clear. Metallica Live in Davenport, IA - DEAD HEROES May 30, 1986 Coliseum Ballroom Damage, Inc. Tour 1. Master Of Puppets 2. For Whom The Bell Tolls 3. Welcome Home (Sanitarium) 4. The Thing That Should Not Be 5. Cliff Burton Bass Solo 6. Damage, Inc. 7. Seek & Destroy 8. Creeping Death 9. Am I Evil? 10. Whiplash 11. The Four Horsemen 12. Motorbreath
  • Soundboard 8.7 - This is the kind of soundboard that was probably meant just for soundman audio reference. It’s fine though, and generally speaking, way better than any audience tape because Metallica, especially in 1986 (I know because I saw them in ’86 and it was the loudest concert I’d ever heard) was so loud there wasn’t any way to get a good capture unless you had excellent gear with mic level adjustment. Metallica - Metal, Inc. Live @ The Coliseum, El Paso TX May 12, 1986 1. Master Of Puppets 2. For Whom The Bell Tolls 3. Ride The Lightning 4. Welcome Home (Sanitarium) 5. Seek And Destroy 6. Creeping Death 7. Am I Evil? 8. Damage, Inc.
