Soundboard 9.5 - This is a brilliant recording, razor sharp and electric at a time when most music was becoming rather lame. Not saying Pat Benatar did not have her share of radio friendly numbers, but even those featured good, solid rock guitar that did not resemble anything else offered by mainstream top 40 at that time (aside for maybe The Cars and Foreigner…and Cheap Trick). Audience 9.7 - Here’s one of those timeless artists who always sounds relevant no matter the time period. A 1985 concert is a 1975 concert is a 2005 concert – consistently excellent and never selling out integrity for anything approaching chart success. This recording puts you so close, so intimate it’s really like being there in the front row. Drums are in your living room, the piano is next to you, and Pat is your best friend. Wonderful! Gainesville 1978 Soundboard 9.5 - A professional straight board feed recording that is as clean and balanced as you’d ever want – but very occasionally there may be a slight tape drop out (rarely), and the sound is almost too good…meaning it could use some ambience and atmosphere but if you only want to hear this as a musical performance rather than event, this is damn near perfect.
Cincinnati 1989 Audience 9.7 - A soaring, elegant recording that captures this event in spectacular quality. Guitars seem to float over your head and wrap around your ears as they seem to pan across the room, drums filling the spaces and adding immediacy. When the audience claps and responds it’s as if it is a part of the show how it blends in and seems so respectful. Overall man this is a frighteningly good recording and performance and is pretty much in the “must have” range IMHO.

NY 1978 SDBRD 9.3 - Really nice sounding, warm, well mixed. A couple of songs fade in, and a couple fade out, so that is unusual in my opinion for a board tape but it’s most of the songs, it isn’t drastic…and all the songs are instrumental anyway. A great one for the collector! Nuremberg 1980 SDBRD 9.5 - Another really good tape and excellent show, with minor complaint being a couple of fade ins and a couple of fade outs which only really may have an effect on those people who are intimately familiar with the band’s material. Telluride 1978 FM Broadcast 9.2 - A little hit and miss on the live mix, where sometimes I don’t get some of the background instruments associated with the synth or whatever is happening back there…but I could be wrong about that, I mean it is rather subjective whether I am hearing the mix as the band intended or if I need something personally – no matter, because this is lovely and warm, with just enough audience sound to give you a better representation of the liveness of the recorded gig. I need that, personally, otherwise you might as well just listen to the albums!
Boston 1978 FM Broadcast 9.7 - A very well preserved recording that features soaring instrumentation in crystal clear quality – highs are sweet and distinct and bass is warm and round. The mid tones are sublime, and your high-end system will love reproducing this recording!

Audience 9.7 - both of these shows were recorded onto a 4-track machine which is clearly obvious when you hear just how crystal this stuff sounds, as well as the separation of instruments. Some minor stuff does occur with the old tape in a couple spots but that passes without much fuss, it’s hard to knock these recordings but I do have to let you know what I hear. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
