Audience 8.7 - This is a show that just came onto my radar, I can't believe I'd never heard it before. What I was expecting and what I got were two wildly different things...and I mean, it is a good thing. It's a good tape! It also happens to be the gig where the iconic photo of Ozzy lifting Randy was taken, and being able to now hear that show is kind of cool.OZZY OSBOURNE Rosemont Horizon Chicago, Illinois January 24th, 1982 *** "Diary of a Madman" tour *** 01. Cleveland 1981 is an FM Broadcast 9.2 which I had not heard before believe it or not, so, I was suitably impressed. Anyone would be appreciative! The second disc (and most of the 3rd) is Montreal 81 and is an FM Broadcast 8.9 due to a more subdued signal that does not take away any frequency range but rather slightly compresses the sound just a bit. Now I want the listener to realize that this is a subjective opinion, technically speaking the audio here is excellent so it’s a matter of personal taste in this case. The second half of disc 3 is all studio quality. Soundboard 8.8 - This is perhaps one of the most famous and well travelled live recordings of the legendary Ozzy/Randy team. It is indeed a board tape, not exactly pristine, but certainly something everyone remotely interested in this band should have in their collection. Audience 9.3 - Fantastic! Wow, I’d never heard this one previously and it’s a real revelation. Open, great stereo pan, and for once I actually heard the keyboards and I could not even believe some of the little quirky bits that it added to the music. Just listen to Crazy Train and you will hear some sounds that are NOT the guitar, almost kind of funny. Great great stuff, this is a must have! Ozzy Osbourne Milwaukee Mecca Auditorium Milwaukee, WI. SDBRD 9.4 - I actually believe this recording probably sounds a lot better than what the people at the show were hearing. I say that because these huge outdoor concerts did not always have the pinnacle of clear sound mixes, and ear-bleeding volume does not always mean it sounds good it just means it sounds stupid loud. I’d rather have a good sounding recording rather than the damaged hearing.

Studio Quality 9.8 - Almost as good as could be, a tiny amount of hum only noticeable at the beginning and end of songs…this is almost perfect but it is unmastered studio demos that to my ears sound very close to final mix.
