• The second CD released by the ShroomAngel label featuring vintage Hands studio recordings. These recordings make up what would have been the bands 2nd LP and date mainly from 1980. This is officially reissued by ShroomAngel Records.
  • Released in 2002 on the ShroomAngel Records label, this has been officially reissued in this format.  This studio album marked 25 years of the bands existence (hence the title).
  • Radio Broadcast 9.4 - Smooth and crisp with great bass definition and spot on drum mix. Pretty much a must have.
  • Soundboard 9.5 - Outstanding pre-FM source material that showcases one of the top shelf “Krautrock” bands of the early 70’s.
  • Pro 9.3 - Sonically superior but the truth is it all depends on what you want out of the live mix. I think its fine myself but some may have opted for more up front vocals. Overall it is quite good.
  • Audience 8.7 - A little squashed with guitar kind of low, vocals not bad, drums and bass OK although there’s no great separation of instruments. The good news is the louder you get the better this sounds, strange I know. The show itself? Good rock and roll, what else can you say about these guys?
  • Soundboard 9.5 - Two tapes have surfaced and both are very strong. The tapes are so good they should be officially released. A good one, rare and certainly worth the time and effort. THE GROUNDHOGS - Quinn Abbey, UK 1971 Disc 1 1. -Mistreated 2. -Split part 1 3. -Cherry Red 4. -Split part 2 5. -Groundhog Blues 6. -Still A Fool 7. -Garden 8. -Eccentric Man Disc 2 WMC Studios, CA, June 8, 1972 1. -Eccentric Man 2. -Music Is The Food Of Thought 3. -Still A Fool 4. -Split part 1 5. -Groundhog Blues 6. -Cherry Red - Split part 2 Tony McPhee - guitar, vocals Pete Cruickshank - bass Ken Pustelnik - drums
  • Soundboard 9.4 - Includes an intermission Audience source. Do you know your Krautrock then? If so, than you may not want to pass on this one. A rare show, a strange show, a wild night. Excellent document complete with loads of photos, and excellent sdbrd audio.
  • Soundboard 9.4 - Professionally mixed, and it shows.
  • Audience 9.0 - The recording levels are a bit low, but there’s plenty enough headroom in the recording to allow max volume and it sounds killer.
  • Osaka 2019 SDBRD 9.4  - This is how you do it if you want to become rock stars. I don’t mean the performance, I mean record yourself and let the tape out so you get bootlegged. Anyway, it’s Led Zeppelin 2.0 for the uninitiated.
  • Soundboard 9.8 - Simply fantastic! A MUST!!!!
  • The 2017 show is an Audience 8.7 - Decent but not showing a lot of dynamics  /  The 2018 show is Soundboard 9.4 and the star of this set.
  • Audience 7.4 - For the first half of the show containing the Edgar Winter and Leon Russell sets, and 8.2 for the duration, which is cool because now you have a complete picture of the entire evening, start to finish, which you rarely find. As the tape progresses, rather than diminish, it brightens and opens up for pretty much the entire Gregg Allman set. Not that it is horrible, just that it occupies a mid range bandwidth without straying into too many dynamics. Tape does not distort, and does not peak, so what you get is a consistent capture that gets progressively better as the evening wears on. This tape has never been heard prior to the release of this set.
  • Audience 8.8 - Very bright recording, the bottom end is there and it has good detail but could be a little deeper. That being said, if you want to hear the combination of solid, hard rock guitar paired with Greg Lake’s proggy and sometimes jazzy keyboards well, this is about as good as that combination can ever sound. It works actually, quite well. The good thing about this recording being on the bright side is that the guitars and keys are especially clear.
