Audience 8.4 - This is a tape that fits the Stones image, it’s rough, raw, and loaded with chaotic energy. It has flaws, but it recovers and gets back onto your good side. You will get used to the screaming chick, thankfully her howls are spread out. Try not to get too wrapped up into the occasional drop out or glitch because you can really get sucked into this concert if you let yourself. French Radio Broadcast 8.4 - The recording does not sound what you would expect a broadcast to be, it sounds like an audience recording honestly. Then, you have to listen past the announcer comments (in French) between songs, and sometimes chiming in at the end, and beginning of the next song. Annoying, but I guess a small price to pay for having the priceless recordings of classic live Rolling Stones of this early vintage. I did notice the quality to be much better than the way I remember it being when these this first surfaced. Soundboard 9.0 - This recording, to me, sounds like it was in a television studio for a live audience. I can’t tell for sure, but it is the way the audience reacts and the type of reverb going on. Either way, it’s a good recording, first couple of tracks a little hissy but it clears up considerably. Audience 8.8 - A nice surprise this one – I was much more familiar with a tape from a later show during this run, but this one sounds lively and clear as a bell. It has a great live atmosphere which for me is a huge plus, so long as it is not boomy or has too much big hall “verb” and this one has the perfect amount of everything good. Lovely!
