• Audience 7.6 - Has a kind of thin quality to it even though you can hear everything on stage. Sounds like it needs a nice big punch in the middle, someone needs to remaster this one. Not crappy, just needs a mastering job.
  • Audience 7.7 - A wide stereo feel, a touch of that large hall sound, pretty clear with a decent mix. Some audience chatter.
  • Audience 8.7 - A surprisingly decent tape surfaces from Italy where Genesis found initial acceptance in the early part of their career. Sound is clear for the most part, and the timbre is pleasing to the ear…if I can knock it I would say maybe it is a bit compressed in the middle, so no crispness in the highs nor definition in the low end but it’s not the kind of compression that you get from, say, a video tape. It’s quite good like I said so feel secure if you get it knowing it will be worthwhile. • Audience 8.2 - Vocals a little buried, all music pretty clear and detailed.
  • Audience 8.3 - Sounds kind of distant, but because it is not echoey you can adjust and then place yourself in the seat of the taper.
  • Audience 8.6 - Right down in there with the crowd, listening to the audience listening to the band. The band and their music sound terrific, the audio quality is actually pretty darn good, bright, not distorted, maybe not as full on the bottom end but the bass itself is very round but not thumping. Drums are crisp and well defined. This is actually a good recording!
  • Soundboard 9.3 - Simply a MUST HAVE if you have any interest at all in Genesis. Includes some backstage interviews, giving an amazing perspective of this epic show. Enchanting!
  • Audience 8.3 - This recording is balancing very finely on the borderline but thankfully falls onto the “acceptable” side. I would call it slightly above average maybe, as the tape shows some typical age limitations, but still manages to present the evening in a listenable quality. Must have been a small audience at this show, crowd response is weak, but the band still perform admirably. Guzman Theatre, Miami, FL. March 9th, 1974 Disc 1

  • Audience 8.7 - The tape is new to circulation and it’s a good one. The rating reflects only that there is a lack of dynamics in the bandwidth of the tape but the clarity is decent and it is a comfortable listen – not harsh, not muddy, not brittle…it’s a good tape and I am glad it was discovered. • Audience 8.7 - This tape is surprisingly clear, it is not super dynamic but it is nice and clear. It’s almost like a REALLY good AM radio broadcast. It has a narrow sound field, but it is comfortable there, and comfortable to your ears. Phil sounds like he’s singing right next to you, pretty cool. • Audience 8.9 - Very nice and clear with the keyboards more up front this time. Bass sounds sweet too. A great recording!
  • Audience 9.1 - A strong, very clear tape which has a deep bottom end, you can feel the kick and the bass!  The band sound close, there’s no indication they are playing a large venue, it’s almost kind of an intimate sound. A superb taping job! • Soundboard 9.5 - Superb clarity and attenuation, especially where the high end is concerned. Very lifelike, no sign of radio compression which suggests this tape to be pre-FM broadcast.
