• Audience 8.9 - Very nice and clear with the keyboards more up front this time. Bass sounds sweet too. A great recording!
  • Audience 9.1 - A strong, very clear tape which has a deep bottom end, you can feel the kick and the bass!  The band sound close, there’s no indication they are playing a large venue, it’s almost kind of an intimate sound. A superb taping job! • Soundboard 9.5 - Superb clarity and attenuation, especially where the high end is concerned. Very lifelike, no sign of radio compression which suggests this tape to be pre-FM broadcast. • Soundboard 9.2 - Good show and I love how the drums sound in this mix.
  • Audience 7.0 - Thin and distant
  • Audience 8.1 - Yes this is ranked pretty low on the sound quality scale, but it’s not a disaster because this is actually a full point or more better than the previous version of this legendary gig. It’s not unlistenable, and the proof is that you can hear every word Gabriel says during his stories. Extensive work in repairing and remastering this from a 1st generation tape made all the difference. Rediscover the earliest known live Genesis recording because for historical purposes there is no more significant a recording than this. • Soundboard 9.2 - Great if not a tad flat (as most soundboards can be)
  • Audience 9.2 - Very punchy up front, clean, sweet levels and great mix. Wonderful!
  • Audience 9.5 - Astounding clarity and dynamics! Good evening sir and welcome to the Forum. Looks like you’re seated here in row 3 center, please enjoy the show! • Audience 9.5 - Listening to this recording made me think for a second I was listening to classic Gabriel era sans Peter Gabriel (he’s backstage nursing cold) ha ha!  What I mean is, the performance and setlist is reminiscent of an earlier time because the band seem to be playing the songs as if for the first time. It’s just great to hear – and the sound quality is top shelf. • Audience 9.2 - Great dynamics and amazing atmosphere! This is certainly one for every kind of collector, even casually Genesis fans would love this. A special gig. • Audience 8.6 - Solid, with some tape squeals here and there about halfway in that do go away. A good solid recording here.
  • Audience 8.7 - Sound resides somewhere in the mid range and does not feature well defined high end but does have a warm, round bottom to it. The mix does not favor any one instrument, it’s rather even, and all in all the listening experience, while not exceptional in any way, is also not offensive. Genesis Congresshalle Hamburg, Germany October 15, 1981 Disc 1 1. Behind The lines 2. Duchess 3. The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway 4. Gutenabend Hamburg 5. Dodo/Lurker 6. Abacab 7. Carpet Crawlers 8. • Audience 9.5 - Wonderful in every way, as good as an audience recording can be from 1975.
