• Audience 8.7 - A loud, loud tape recording that gets right up to the bleeding edge of break up at full volume but thankfully does not go off the edge…too much! So, I have to say about this one, it’s terribly exciting because it has a super realistic feel where you can sense the size of the venue, the air of excitement in the crowd, pretty much all the hallmarks of an exceptional capture. It does get too loud in places, so be warned.
  • Audience 8.7  - A somewhat slightly above average recording that thankfully remains very listenable and stable, there are some periods during the show where the tape improves maybe to an 8.8 but once your ears adjust and you settle in, at the end you will think it wasn’t bad at all. It is NOT muddy, in fact there’s very little tape hiss so this must emanate from a low gen tape or it has been worked on. When some songs go from quiet to loud (as they frequently do at a Pink Floyd concert), the tape machine seems to take a second to adjust, perhaps it has an automatic level adjuster, but despite those tiny momentary hiccups the tape is largely smooth sailing. • Audience 8.2 - As good as one could hope for, this recording being about as important and critical to the legend that is Pink Floyd as anything they did after Syd. Actually, everything is pretty clear here, and surprisingly you have Syd Barrett actually performing rather well at this gig. A MUST have.
  • Audience 7.9 - A little more cluttered than the Copenhagen show, still this remaster reveals much more to the ear than anything that surfaced in the past. Another absolutely crucial tape recording that cements the bona fide legend that was Syd Barrett.
  • Studio Quality 9.5 - The first disc in this collection is referred to as “Revamped” because it extracts the most robust and complete takes, fixes where need be, and assembles in a way that most closely resembles a coherent project. Purists may opt for the more conventional outtake compilations contained on discs 2 and 3, but therein lies the beauty of this collection. It presents a much more interesting picture of what was and what could have been…notwithstanding the official release of Paul Kantner’s album. • Three Shows: *  Detroit - Audience 7.1 - Very thin and transistor sounding. *  El Paso - Audience 7.4 *  Springfield - Audience 8.2 - The best of the three shows by far.
  • Audience 8.8 - Looking for a good quality Plasmatics recording? Right here it is. Get it!
  • Audience 8.7 and SDBRD 8.8/9.1 - Both sources are clean and decent, the first disc is actually a radio broadcast but they used a tape source that was recorded by a fan in the audience! Sounds a little distant but clear with good atmospherics, just unusual to know how they did it. The other disc contains a board tape made at the Fillmore which is very good but more than that really shows the crossing over the line by “country” artists into uncharted territory. This music reminds me of what would happen if you took The Flying Burrito Brothers and The Beatles and told them to pretend they are Eagles flying around the Bay Area. The last bit of disc 2 is from Holland and is the best sounding of the set. Poco Eagles Auditorium Seattle, WA 1969-07-05 Disc 1 Set 1 early show 01. Pickin' Up The Pieces 02. Hurry Up 03. • Audience 9.6 - Very atmospheric and warm, presents a very realistic impression of the sound you would have heard had you been there.
  • Audience 7.9 - A little remastering helped this old recording immensely! Now it is worth a listen, even if it is not the brightest of hi-fi jobs…but it’s a document and a good one.
  • Soundboard 9.4 - All soundboard, includes Fresno 1983 and more (such as the rehearsals, again soundboard).
  • Soundboard 9.2 - These are great but Prince himself mixed them hot  and put them out exactly as you hear them. These recordings are going to probably melt your speakers, the levels are really pushed all the way up just to the breaking point. Still, to my ears I like what I am hearing.
