This one is not crap, you can clearly enjoy each member as the separation of instruments is actually very good, in fact the bass notes are distinct here. The mix is good, the sound is decent, the performance is very good. I see no reason why not to have this. -

The sound is pretty direct and forceful, if even a touch of rawness that harkens back to his really early days with Taste. -
Audience 8.8 - A fantastic open reel recording that features a very lively and clear sound. Guitar tones are lovely, vocals very present, and a cheerful vibe throughout. Fantastic! Soundboard 8.9 - The band is in really fine form here, the sound is good with maybe a small amount of compression which rounds the highs down a little but a nice mix and that performance wins the day. Soundboard 9.1 - I am kind of doubting whether it is truly a board tape because it doesn’t have that sort of dry and immediate sound, it’s got too much atmosphere. That being said, it is definitely pro, and could be open mics placed strategically around the stage. Sounds great! -
Audience 8.4 Audience 9.6 Audience 8.6 - I found the ’68 show to be surprisingly strong for the early vintage, a definite surprise even with some hiss present which could theoretically be mitigated with a re-master but you don’t want to sacrifice any highs as they are just hanging on at the upper end. The ’69 is the famous Texas Pop Festival and of course is the best sounding one, and finally the ’70 show which really surprised me, a tad distant from the stage but clear, and I rather enjoyed the live atmosphere.
