• Audience 9.4 - I really found this to be a real gem. First, I think it starts with a respectful but enthusiastic Japananese audience and then because of the immaculate source tape. The recording, while maybe light on bottom end just a touch, is crisp and clean and features a flawless midrange. Drums have an extremely "live" feel, you almost just kind of look off to your left and right to make sure a drummer isn't there in your living room!

  • Soundboard 8.7 - A tape that shows some age with a little bit of a lack of high end that would provide more clarity as far as the sound mix. It’s a workable board tape nonetheless and it does feature the antics of Pete Townshend and Keith Moon so there is that. In this mix, it is guitar, bass, drums (and vocals are fine) but don’t expect much more. • Soundboard 9.4 - A good stereo board of a criminally underrated band. You will hear plenty of Celtic themed rock material, but also a band with a wide palette of ideas. Great stuff!
  • Austin band that formed out of the ashes of The Cosmic Head Band circa 1976. These recordings took place over the course of a decade, in various garages, in sweltering heat amidst cases of Lone Star beer and cheap Mexican brick. The results, while a little rough around the edges, are pretty devastating. Twin guitar attack influenced by Rush, Wishbone Ash, Cream, Frank Marino, and Black Sabbath - loads of feedback, wah-wah, dirty and distorted garage acid prog psyche proto-metal. Cool!
  • Audience 9.0 - A small club atmosphere puts you up close to the band and the respectful audience. The music is all-encompassing, it’s space rock with emphasis on rock, and It is quite interesting. Quality is clear, it’s not super dynamic but you can really sink into this recording and what is extra cool is the taper stayed for both sets leading me to believe they were connected to the band or their management. Maybe not, but it’s my guess. Cool stuff! Far East Family Band Troubador Los Angeles, CA Early Show 1978-03-24 First Performance in the United States. • Audience 8.4 - Great fun this one is! I know because I was there!
  • Audience 9.0 - A really fine attempt to capture a loud metal band in a small club. • FM Broadcast 9.3 - Terrific all around, for fans who haven’t heard much of these guys live, this is a real good place to find out about them. • Formed in Dallas, TX. in 1970, they were very active gigging and recording (several 7" singles) and built a good size following by the time of their pinnacle in 1976. Their lead guitarist, Randy Nunnally, had even attracted the attention of National act Ted Nugent and was asked to join Ted as his guitarist for a tour. Unfortunately, at that same time, Randy was diagnosed with ALS and went downhill pretty fast, passing away a few short years later. This CD contains music found on their 7" singles as well as a fantastic live radio broadcast. All of the original master tapes were lost in a fire, this is all the music that could be found. The CD is dedicated to the memory of the late, great Randy Nunnally.
  • Soundboard 8.8 - A little hiss, some compression (not too much), and a rather dry sound (a pure board feed, no crowd noise present).
  • Audience 8.7 - A very low generation tape (very clean) used here, and it is very decent sounding, You will get some big hall atmosphere but it’s manageable.
  • Audience 9.4 - Exceptionally well balanced, this recording features very tangible depth and nice clarity. • Audience 9.1 - What a find!  This tape exudes raw power, and hearkens back to the original sound and style of the band much more so than what would be just a year and a half later. Does that mean it’s a raw blues rock show?  No, but there is a lot of that here, and more than that it’s the TONE of the band. Gritty, mean, raw but tight…fierce!  The quality of the tape is VERY good…well worth snagging!

  • Audience 7.5 - This is direct from the open reel master tape. There is some limitation to the capture (slight oversaturation) but I would say this is a pretty fascinating document.
  • Audience 9.5 - Astounding! Not just for the excellent sound but the dynamics are so present here, you get lush, rich lows and then all the way up through the spectrum including detailed but not sizzling highs. Combine all that with the energy of Tusk performed with a marching band at the LA Forum and man, yeah, this is the stuff! • Soundboard 9.6 - Great live mix, like it was recorded for a release. Drums are tight, guitar is slamming, vocals perfect.
  • Audience 8.5 - A little lack of depth and overall dynamics but pretty clear, well mixed capture here. Stevie sounds good!
  • Audience 8.6 - A lively tape, with an almost “bar room” feel to it. • Audience 8.8 - A surprisingly great tape! Very wide spectrum and a solid, in the pocket mix. Great show too!
  • Audience 9.1 - A good, clean and bright recording that is clear and detailed. Maybe I would say it could use more bottom end but I am nitpicking, it’s got all the essential things a listener needs to be able to “relax” when listening. You don’t have to strain to hear everyone on stage but mix-wise I would place bass and drums more to the back, relatively speaking, on this tape. • Soudboard 9.7 - Beautiful fullness of sound! Saweet!
  • Audience 8.8 - This sounds like what the gig probably sounded like, which is why I refer to this as a “capture” as opposed to a “recording”, and I hope you understand what makes the two different. A soundboard is a recording, and to be honest it doesn’t actually “capture” the event, it is what you would have heard if you were running the live sound for the band. Make sense? Fleetwood Mac Tangerine Bowl, Orlando, FL May 29, 1977 Mick Fleetwood John McVie Christine McVie Lindsey Buckingham Stevie Nicks 01 Say You Love Me 02 Monday Morning 03 Dreams 04 Oh Well 05 Rhiannon 06 Oh Daddy 07 Never Going Back Again 08 Landslide 09 Over My Head 10 Gold Dust Woman 11 You Make Loving Fun 12 I’m So Afraid 13 Go Your Own Way 14 World Turning Total Time = 70:15 min
  • Audience 8.8 - A very atmospheric recording that gives you an amazing sense of space and proximity to the action. The music has room to move around, so it’s a natural sounding recording and the listening experience benefits greatly. Sometimes at full volume when the band is really cooking, the music gets a little bunched up but the tapers were good with levels so it does not offend and I appreciate that. This is a real gem!
  • Soundboard 8.9 - The band is in really fine form here, the sound is good with maybe a small amount of compression which rounds the highs down a little but a nice mix and that performance wins the day. FLEETWOOD MAC - Le Zenith - Paris, France April 14, 1977 01 -Station Man 02 -The Chain 03 -Dreams 04 -Rhiannon 05 -Oh Daddy 06 -Never Going Back Again 07 -Landslide 08 -Over My Head 09 -Gold Dust Woman 10 -You Make Loving Fun 11 -Go Your Own Way 12 -Oh Well 13 -I'm So Afraid 14 -World Turning 15 -Blue Letter
  • Pro FM Broadcast 9.6 - I really like the guitar tone here, a bit more grit, sounds less like a mega-hit stadium band and more like a very talented jam band.
  • Richfield 1980 Audience 9.7 - Reaching damn near the pinnacle of how good an audience recording can be. The atmosphere, it’s breathtaking. A genuinely immersive experience akin to travelling back in time and being in the front row…yes it is THAT GREAT! • Pro Video Source 8.5 - These sound like they were taken from video tape sources and have the telltale compression characteristics. These are actually several different broadcasts during the year 1976, with the final four tracks coming from UC Santa Barbara, which is also the best sounding of the batch.
