Audience 5.7 - Muffled and bass heavy but blistering show wish it was better sound. Vocals kind of clear, can hear guitar and he’s shredding like hell. -
Audience 7.9 - It’s hard give this a below 8 rating because of technical limitations of the recorder (a touch of high end distortion) because it is a very exciting and highly amped show captured quite well for the primitive hear that must have been used. I can hear everything and guitar is loud and up front. The distortion present is not a killer, it’s there but it is as unobtrusive as distortion can be. A fun recording, puts you right there. -
Soundboard 9.3 - Excellent, dynamic, solid. -
Audience 7.7 - Kind of thin but really pretty clear and that is why they consider this one of the better audience tapes of the British leg of the Spiders tour in 1972. -
Audience 6.8 - For the hardcore collector of the Ziggy days. A rare tape though, wish it was better. -
Soundboard 9.7 -
Audience 7.8 - Clear, strong, present with just a hint of mic overload but overall very very good recording of a historic show revealing the pre-stardom Bowie testing some Ziggy tunes. -
Soundboard 9.2 -
Audience 7.3 - Pretty clear with a bit of hall space that gives it some atmosphere. Enjoyable! -
FM Radio 9.4 (The Year of the Spiders) -
Soundboard 9.7 - Super clean with at least a little bit of audience leaking into the stage mics to give a touch of ambience which otherwise leaves more of a one-dimensional sound. So, I like this! -
Audience 6.9 - Bowie clearly audible above the din. Not great separation of instruments, with some minor analog tape saturation at full volume. -
Audience 8.2 - There’s a more intimate, immediate sound to this, a little flat but very clear. -
Soundboard 9.5 -
Audience 7.8 - Sweet sounding loud guitar, very clear and present, although when they are at full volume it gets a touch muddy. Still very enjoyable! -
Audience 8.7 - Explosive guitar, slight tape hiss, and a touch on the muddy side but it RIPS so hard that all the minor flaws dissipate quickly. Rock yer socks off!
