• Audience 8.9 - One thing for certain, you can’t knock this recording for not having enough wide open and bright atmosphere!  Holy crap it’s got that in spades, at maybe at a little expense of the lower register – although the bass is present in a sort of brassy and sassy kind of way. If you want to hear that guitar detail and don’t mind that the recording favors that sort of mid band/upper high range of sound and less emphasis on deep bottom end (most people would prefer not being overloaded with bass as it tends to muddy the sound) than you will like this a lot. I did not miss having phatness in the bottom end because I cranked up my bass on the EQ and lo-and-behold there was bass! • Audience 9.1 - Here’s a rarity of sorts, a late 80’s Jefferson Airplane show. So, how relevant were they in the grunge rock era?  There’s plenty of fire left in this rock band, and rock they do!  Quality is very good here, so your ears can relax and your mind can drift away as you re-engage yourself with what really matters…great, original rock and roll. • Soundboard 9.5 - What a tour-de-force this show is! Long considered by Deadheads as being the pinnacle shows of the entire 72 tour, the “Texas Swing” stand of shows (Austin, Dallas, San Antonio, Houston) just present so much incredible music and vibe that it’s hard to believe your ears. Let me put it this way – if the psychedelic pop music of the 60’s is like a tic tac, than songs like Black Throated Wind or The Other One are Porterhouse steaks! • Soundboard 9.3 The band are at the top of the biz, laying down a scrumptious assortment of rock, country rock, bluegrass, country, and heady, mind-frying psychedelic jams. • Audience 9.4 - I love these open-air recordings that really shine, capturing not just the music but the entire vibe of the event…and so realistically!  This to me is what collecting is about, basically it is about reliving a musical event from the past. Killer sound for a heavier rock band because they preserve the tone and the dynamics, it’s not just VOLUME up to 10 although I am pretty certain this show was very loud. • Soundboard 9.8 - Professionally recorded for release, the quality is as defined as you could hope for. Probably had to be somewhat challenging to mix, a band with three back-up singers and a lead singer, violinist, guitar/bass/drums, and keyboards. A lot to manage but an impeccable job for this show.

  • Audience 9.3 - The great thing about this performer is that his sound and style is timeless – it might as well be 1976 because after listening to his shows from the 70’s, I can’t tell much difference between then and this 1990 show. The show sounds great, it is rich and full bodied with an especially beautiful drum sound and bass is meaty without being overbearing although it sometimes shakes your speakers!

  • Soundboard 9.8 - A professionally made recording that saw a digital only release. This takes that stellar download and presents it in uncompressed, lossless form for you to enjoy. Nothing quite like this mesmerizing blend of Eastern trance psychedelic and Krautrock, the band never lost a step and sound like they traveled through a worm hole in time/space to leap from 1974 to 2013.
