Audience 8.7 - A tape that finds balance even with the somewhat squashed sound, because it is pretty clear regardless. Fills a lot of gaps in my Alice Cooper collection as these Lace And Whiskey tour shows seem few and far between compared to other tours. -
Pro 9.0 - This recording is great for the time period but it seems that it has been remastered to remove what was probably a great deal of hiss. There’s some left here, but I gotta say this is still one hell of a nice recording. -
Audience 8.3 - A great effort by the taper to capture and preserve a rock concert in his hometown with what sounds like pretty good gear. The levels are a touch low, but the fact that everything is pretty clear and there’s no distortion at all, well I tip my hat to this guy! A good one. -

Studio Quality 8.9 - The quality is great but you have to get past the first song and a half as there is some static present. Once you move past those tracks you get some very interesting studio rehearsals and outtakes. I love the rawness here, it’s very visceral and powerful. Audience 7.3 - A rip-roaring, over the top onslaught of greasy rock and roll captured painfully close to the PA. Sounds like this may be lifted from vinyl, and there’s tape noise artifacts present. But, all that taken into account, this is still a very good time and not painful on the ears despite the volume (I think someone attempted to remaster this but it can use one more time). -

Soundboard 8.9 - It’s a very clean, good board but it features a heavy reverb sound, but it’s probably natural reverb. Still an interesting kind of atmospheric recording. -
Audience 8.6 -A sonic blast not held back by some of the typical limitations such as the actual venue itself which is notorious for sounding more like a gymnasium than a concert hall. Tape cannot be faulted for being muddy, it’s not very clean, but that is due to proximity to PA and unprofessional gear. That being said, the tape scores high in terms of sheer electricity and fun…once your ears adjust, yeah, but what a ride! Band did not know they were being taped by someone so I guess this is a pretty honest performance. They sound very primitive, underground, gritty…and I guess that is why Cooper made changes because perhaps that style and sound was getting outdated on such a large caliber tour. Personally, I much prefer this honest, maybe if a bit more crude, band sound. Audience 8.4 - Very rare show, perhaps slightly on the thin side but screaming guitar and vocals stand out. A must have for any Aldo Nova fan! -
FM Broadcast 9.8 - Frighteningly great, as in near prefect sound mix, beautiful tonal qualities, excellent performance, and plenty of raw power and sheer brilliance on display. Quite frankly, Yngwie era Alcatrazz blows away the Vai period by miles, and I am not an Yngwie geek either.
