Audience 9.2 - Very clear and a good amount of atmosphere to give you a real sense of what it was like to be there. I also like how the bass and guitar sound, some tasty tonality to sink your ears into. -

Soundboard 8.8 - A very old sounding tape that received a recent “facelift” giving it some more punch while reducing tape noise (without compromising any high end). What you end up with is another very good early performance (whilst the band was still doing some Pretties For You numbers) in very good quality. I never get tired of the early Alice Cooper stuff, even if I still don’t understand “Sun Arise” ha ha! FM Broadcast 8.8 - A tape that sounds…1978. That doesn’t mean it’s bad at all, it’s just a rather dated sounding broadcast to my ears. That means it kind of captures the time period rather well, and the quality itself is pretty good, but not exhibiting the usual dynamic of an FM broadcast. Not enough 1978 era tapes of excellent quality though, so grab this one. Audience 8.7 - A tape that finds balance even with the somewhat squashed sound, because it is pretty clear regardless. Fills a lot of gaps in my Alice Cooper collection as these Lace And Whiskey tour shows seem few and far between compared to other tours. -
Pro 9.0 - This recording is great for the time period but it seems that it has been remastered to remove what was probably a great deal of hiss. There’s some left here, but I gotta say this is still one hell of a nice recording. -
Audience 8.3 - A great effort by the taper to capture and preserve a rock concert in his hometown with what sounds like pretty good gear. The levels are a touch low, but the fact that everything is pretty clear and there’s no distortion at all, well I tip my hat to this guy! A good one. -

Studio Quality 8.9 - The quality is great but you have to get past the first song and a half as there is some static present. Once you move past those tracks you get some very interesting studio rehearsals and outtakes. I love the rawness here, it’s very visceral and powerful.
