Audience 8.5 - A significant evening for the band as they headline their first show, just after being booted from ZZ Top tour. Sounds fine, taper does maneuver at times and the movement is picked up on the sensitive mic, but overall this is very listenable if not overly dynamic. Good to have it, a very important show in Black Crowes history. -
Soundboard 9.2 - A good tight mix that emphasizes the vocals and Duane which I am 100% ok with! A joy to listen to. -
Early show - Audience 7.7 - Cluttered, not distorting but some tape break up present as the volume was too much for the cassette player. Late Show - Audience 8.3 - A big step up from the earlier show, this one is clearer, sounds like taper had better seats. -

Audience 7.3 - A tape new to the collectors, it is not without its limitations but it is audible. Without the re-mastering I would not recommend it on any level but for its rarity, however, it is now listenable (as if a layer of grime was wiped away). -
Barbara Pennington was the singer of the Houston underground rock band TEMPEST (Three albums released since 1975). This single predates their 1st album, and was recorded with the pre-Tempest band BEOWULF, later known as TEMPEST. Zoom in on the images to see condition. Audience 9.3 - This recording effectively conveys the power and volume of the gig, with pretty much a direct blunt force to your brain. There’s not a helluva a lot of headroom in the recording meaning the levels are at peak (no clipping or distortion) so if you plan to crank it loud, just be prepared for a lot of neighborhood complaints. -

Audience 7.7 - Most of the unauthorized recordings of Uriah Heep with John Lawton as lead vocalist are only of fair audio quality. John's vocals are clear through most of the recording. The recording is a bit cut-up in places but the big upside is an unusual setlist featuring some tunes from Heep's Firefly album. Also John's bluesy vocals shine throughout. -

Audience 7.0 - A noisy tape that is to be expected from this time period and from a fan in the audience…that being said, it has something to offer to the collector. It’s a little distorted in the low frequencies which is OK because this band does not live on bottom end anyway. The guitar is pretty clear, so you get treated to the band’s formidable front line with vocals and bass coming in behind the guitars.
