Crisp and airy, with hardly any complaints but if I were to do so, I would have toned down the guitars actually as I found sometimes they were actually too up front…some people would prefer that though. A great one no matter.
Hard blues rock band formed in 1975 in Houston, TX. Featured vocalist BB. Watson who left Houston to pursue a career in Nashville as a C&W singer. He had some fleeting success, eventually came back to Houston and worked with Michael Knust (Fever Tree) and Keith York (Albatross, Rare Breed) for a stint and also attempted to reunite the Rare Breed (those sessions contained on this CD). Rare Breed also featured the guitar of Robert Hampton before he joined Hooker. These are all the known recordings.

Small club sound, a little bit muffled but guitars, vocals and harmonica and even piano come through fine and all in all I think once your ears adjust you can enjoy this. A wild night of rock and roll for sure!
Audience 8.5 - 1st night ... What a treat! Really well recorded although not dynamically perfect. It is strong and very clear, and what a show it is! Get this!
Audience 7.5 - Vocals are very up front, overall it’s clear but music is not “full” sounds a little behind in the mix. Add mid band compression and this one would smoke.

A decent capture here, it sure sounds like a master source was used, there’s no tape noise at all and all the highs are perfectly intact.
