Audience 7.8 - Recorded pretty close to the mains, a touch of distortion on some parts, and some tape breaking up due to being overloaded with sound, and vocals a little buried, but even though I can go on with the faults, I found myself sticking with it and I adjusted and I enjoyed this show. Roger is in particularly fine form, really sounds determined on this stage. Tapers talk, tapers cough, but I deal with them, the show sounds incendiary.

Audience 7.5 - Sounds like this was remastered because there’s a lot more music now to sink your teeth into. Is it great? No, it’s average with a welcomed lean towards upper mid-range allowing for guitars to be prominent and even bass is heard, as if it was a second guitar almost. A good one for 1977 tour completists because quite frankly the band is really playing well here.

Audience 8.7 - This is the one that every self respecting Zep head HAS to have, and probably already does. That being said, if you don’t have it, and maybe you are not a huge Zep person or maybe you are new to the live Led Zep world, do yourself a favor and get this now. It’s only one of the most legendary gigs ever captured on tape.

Soundboard 9.5 - Does it get any better than this? No. That is the simple answer. Warning: You’d better strap yourself in for this one folks, I am not kidding. Audience 7.8 - A somewhat distant sound, not as in stadium distant, but recording levels. It’s as if the center has dropped out from the mix, but what saves it is the fact that you can really turn up the volume and make up for some of that. The new re-mastering really has saved this tape; it is MUCH easier to listen to now. This is a RARE tape I am told, only surfacing recently.

Various sources SDBRD 9.0 Aud 8.6 - In order to present the entire concert, various sources had to be used but it’s well worth dealing with some level fluctuation because this is a smoking hot gig. The DVD presents the film that was shot of the entire festival, it is kind of dark and grainy in spots, other times it is nice and bright. Perhaps this is why it was never officially released?
