Audience 8.5 - A decent recording that stays pretty much in the middle of the spectrum in a mildly compressed fashion…so highs are not too high and lows are not boomy. That does take away some of the dynamics of the sound, but at least you get reasonably decent sonic clarity. 10cc Venue: Koseinenkin Hall, Tokyo, Japan Date: 4 Oct 1977 Disc 1 1 -The Second Sitting For The Last supper 2 -You've Got a Cold 3 -Honeymoon With B Troop 4 -Wall Street Shuffle 5 -People In Love 6 -Band intro 7 -Art For Art's Sake 8 -Ships Don't Disappear In The Night (Do They) 9 -I'm Mandy Fly Me 10 -Marriage Bureau Rendezvous 11 -Good Morning Judge Disc 2 1 -Feel The Benefit 2 -Waterfall 3 -The Things We Do For Love 4 -I'm Not In Love 5 -Modern Man Blues Eric Stewart - Vocals, Guitar, Grand Piano & Keyboard Graham Gouldman - Vocals, Guitar & Bass Guitar Rick Fenn - Backing Vocals, Guitar & Bass Guitar Tony O'Malley - Backing Vocals (lead on AFAS), Piano & Keyboard Stuart Tosh - Backing vocals, Drums & Percussion Paul Burgess - Drums & Percussion -
Soundboard 9.8 - I remember a few of the radio hits this band had, but honestly I never gave them a fair shake. Now I know what I was missing. Damn! At times I even think this band may have studied Frank Zappa, their stage banter is the giveaway. Sound quality is exceptional. 10cc 1975 American Tour Santa Monica Civic Center Santa Monica, California, USA Wednesday November 26th, 1975 Track List: Disc 1 01. Introduction (1:31) 02. RCMH - Audience 8.9 - A nice atmosphere, even though it is a large hall there is a charming warmth here. Natalie's vocals carry very well, she is prominent in the mix. There is some background audience chatter occasionally that adds an element of immediacy without being a distraction. I don't usually condone chatter near the taper but the taper has done a great job with this "immersive" situation and I rather like it. Pier 84 - Audience 9.1/SDBRD 9.3 - Very similar to the RCMH show but more clarity in the high end, and slightly better separation of instruments. This is a VERY good recording that will provide many enjoyable moments for the listener. Then after the 1st song it switches to soundboard source (radio broadcast I believe) and it is good, solid, punchy, but not quite as atmospheric as the previous source which was really quite good too. 10,000 Maniacs New York Maniacs 88-89 Disc 1 Radio City Music Hall New York City, NY. 06-29-1989 1.
