Soundboard 9.7 - Crisp and absolutely clear with tremendous separation of instruments. I did not find this cold or sterile at all, I thought it was mixed so well that plenty of feeling and texture is within these sacred frequencies. I guess I have to admit that the 1980 Tour was not a sellout, maybe a branching out but still very worthy of a true fan's admiration. -
Soundboard 9.7 - Both shows are superb soundboard recordings featuring a band really at the peak of their powers. I think once Lotus came out, everything had really become solid and a little experimental perhaps but ultimately incredible. Audience 9.0 - Great document! Live, exciting, forceful and driving. This is a great find! It does have the tell-tale audience tape feel but for how well the bass sounds because if it was done on cassette, it had to be a professional deck, so I am inclined to believe this was done on reel to reel. Winterland 73 Audience 8.7 - A huge sounding recording that also features as an exciting part of the show the rapturous applause by an adoring audience after each song. The music is very lively and upbeat, the sound is very good, a lot of atmosphere.
