• Soundboard 9.5 - This is the recent BBC “reissue” broadcast version and it sounds great! There are no additional tracks, but there is an alternate stereo mix of “Let It Rock” so dive into this one it’s awesome. • Audience 8.5-8.7 - So why the dual rating?  Because it is the limitation of the recording equipment that prevents this from earning the solid 8,7 which is a great rating for a long forgotten Ziggy show. So my take on this is that during loud sections, the guitar takes a back seat in the mix while Ziggy is very prominent – which is kind of cool – but during mellower songs (of which there are a few) the mix is much better all around. All in all, this is a pretty good old tape and I don’t think it will disappoint you. • Pro 9.7 - One has to wonder with all the various BBC recordings in the Bowie catalog, what do I get from having one more?  My take on that is usually there is always something overlooked or that could have been better – and with this collection all I hear is sparkling perfection. • Audience 8.8 - Very clear and leaning towards the mid and upper frequency bands but not in any kind of detrimental way. Supposedly the original source used is a very rare Japanese bootleg LP and that, with a little work done, presents a fine document we can all enjoy. The Reseda 87 material is soundboard with Mick Jagger fronting, and even though the original source features much more material, that is not technically the “live” gig but rather some studio rehearsals which are not present here. • Soundboard 9.4 - This is a collection of all soundboard recordings and they all vary but all excellent. I gave a generally very high rating because all in all I think it rates at least in the mid 9’s based on not only quality of sound but of content as well. • Audience 8.7 - A rattling, rambunctious recording that you will LOVE because it’s the sonic equivalent of the Stones’ personalities. Sure, yeah, this recording is imperfect but it does NOT suffer from muddiness, rather the opposite, it’s very “sharp” and sometimes cymbal crashes irritate (not always), and yet I listened all the way through and had a great time with this show. The quality is not really an issue. This is a just a classic Stones gig and the fact we have the opening acts, man, that is amazing! • Soundboard 9.3 - A good, and raw board tape which perfectly suits the ramshackle, lurching Stones sound and style. Listen to how Mick sounds especially on Shattered – it’s perfect end of story but wait a minute Bill Wyman is actually present and accounted for in a way you never hear.
