• Soundboard 9.0, Soundboard 9.5, Audience 7.6  - In this collection you have two excellent board tapes and one mediocre audience tape that you probably will not listen to as much as the first two discs. That is not to say the tape was not worth inclusion, but more that it was included for the sake of context since you can hear the band progressing through the years with the material. • Audience 8.3 - On this tape, you will hear all instruments (guitar out front) pretty clearly, not much crispness but decent bottom end and midrange intact. Slightly muddy in the middle with occasional brighter spots (definite improvement by the beginning of disc 2) throughout as the taper moves into better position. A touch of hiss is present. Not bad, not stellar, I would get it though if you like Rory’s set list during this time (Shadow Play, etc.). Rory Gallagher .... • Pro Radio broadcasts 9.0 to 8.8 - Ok, so let me put this into some context: These recordings are incredible and an absolute joy to listen to no matter what vintage they are. These are so historically significant, and the quality is surprisingly good when you consider what had to be absolute mayhem at the shows.  I am reading Keef’s book right now, therefore these shows take on a whole new meaning to me right now. I am floored by what I am listening to…you will be too! • Soundboard 8.9 - The band is in really fine form here, the sound is good with maybe a small amount of compression which rounds the highs down a little but a nice mix and that performance wins the day. • Soundboard 9.0 - A strong board that could have been maybe a little crisper, but since it is not super common I appreciate it very much. It does sound like either a lower gen tape or a remastering because when compared to the old CD title from which it has been designed after, it does sound less hissy and a little more dynamic. • Audience 8.7 - Here we have another Lotus tour gig which is probably recorded during the same stretch of gigs we got the album from. That is interesting in and of itself, and while this recording is not pro, it does reveal the power of this band. The music is pretty forceful, not a wide or airy tape but pretty solid effort by the Japanese taper. A tape that has not seen much circulation at all. • Audience 8.9 - This is one helluva nice find! First of all, it was new to me to begin with, but the kicker is that it is just great, and a furious show with outstanding performances by everyone. • Audience 8.4 - While not nearly as spectacular as the Uniondale ’77 (a pro-mixed board btw), this is still an important tape being that it is among the last of the Kath era shows. It’s also not bad at all – in a narrow bandwidth it manages to offer decent separation of instruments and nothing annoying in the frequencies. It’s a solid capture on limited equipment and for that I give the thumbs up to the tapers. • Audience 9.6 - What makes this such an excellent recording imho is that the sound is not only really balanced, but mix-wise it is also superb. I mean, the punch of the bass, the crispness of the drums, the airiness of the keys, guitar right in the pocket…fuck what else do you want? It’s just excellence and your ears be the judge but mine are pretty spot on usually so…yeah, get this one.
  • Audience 8.5 - A decent recording that stays pretty much in the middle of the spectrum in a mildly compressed fashion…so highs are not too high and lows are not boomy.  That does take away some of the dynamics of the sound, but at least you get reasonably decent sonic clarity. 10cc Venue: Koseinenkin Hall, Tokyo, Japan Date: 4 Oct 1977 Disc 1 1 -The Second Sitting For The Last supper 2 -You've Got a Cold 3 -Honeymoon With B Troop 4 -Wall Street Shuffle 5 -People In Love 6 -Band intro 7 -Art For Art's Sake 8 -Ships Don't Disappear In The Night (Do They) 9 -I'm Mandy Fly Me 10 -Marriage Bureau Rendezvous 11 -Good Morning Judge Disc 2 1 -Feel The Benefit 2 -Waterfall 3 -The Things We Do For Love 4 -I'm Not In Love 5 -Modern Man Blues Eric Stewart - Vocals, Guitar, Grand Piano & Keyboard Graham Gouldman - Vocals, Guitar & Bass Guitar Rick Fenn - Backing Vocals, Guitar & Bass Guitar Tony O'Malley - Backing Vocals (lead on AFAS), Piano & Keyboard Stuart Tosh - Backing vocals, Drums & Percussion Paul Burgess - Drums & Percussion
  • Soundboard 9.3 - A great recording of a great hair metal band (I mean, they could play!) in their prime. I used to brush it off when I was a young man, but now I appreciate great musicians not matter how they dress or act. Good is good.

  • Audience 8.6 - A recording that is very clear and bright but lacks low end…but do not take that as saying this recording is too thin. It’s got just enough in the middle and bottom to allow you to attenuate the recording to your liking and in that regard you will find yourself going with this one often. It’s not a one and done show at all. GREAT find and appreciated a little bit more being that it’s a Grace Under Pressure tour gig which for some reason there’s not a plethora of excellent recordings from this tour.

  • Audience 8.4 - A recent discovery, and man what a good one. A very strong recording for the time, minimal errors although maybe a touch hot on the upper end of the bandwidth but not enough to harm. The sound is pretty direct and forceful, if even a touch of rawness that harkens back to his really early days with Taste.

  • Audience 8.0 - One of those “back to the clubs” gigs where you assume, because Zep were so loud, that any recording of them in a small club would sound like crap. This one is not crap, you can clearly enjoy each member as the separation of instruments is actually very good, in fact the bass notes are distinct here. The mix is good, the sound is decent, the performance is very good. I see no reason why not to have this.

  • Audience 9.1 - Excellent fidelity, good and punchy with tight bass and airy vocals.
  • Audience 9.5 - This is what a professional audience recording sounds like. Why oh why would anyone bypass a recording of this fidelity simply because it isn’t a board? Ridiculous! This is killer.
  • Dweezil Zappa Denver 2014 Audience 9.7 - Exceptional audio, this one has great balance of instuments, while the band is very tight.
  • Audience 9.6 - This one is crystal clear, a great mix full of vibe and energy on both parts. Guitar work/Well done.
  • Soundboard 9.5 - A very nice mix, as if done for a proposed live LP. Band is very tight.
  • Aud 8.3 - A legendary gig, mainly because of the covers they play for the encore. The tape has a rough beginning but eventually evens out to reveal a surprisingly powerful capture. Most collectors consider this one a must have and from what I understand this source comes from a master tape.
  •  Pro FM 9.6 - Sound quality is absolutely spot on but so is the band. They were well rested and rehearsed, and it clearly shows with stunning accuracy and a packed set list too. Get this!
  • Soundboard 8.8 - A good live radio broadcast with emphasis on the guitar where it should be of course. Sound ranges towards treble and that gives guitar lots of bite, however everything else is right there.
  • SDBRD 9.6 - yeah this is the stuff! Gong may not be mentioned in the same breath with all the other notable Euro 70’s icons but they should be.
  • Aud 8.9 - This was probably recorded on a reel to reel, who knows it could have even been Jimi’s machine? Very good quality!

  • A collection of rare, never before issues tracks originating from Texas during the 1970's.  Featuring a handful of demos produced by the group Truck, a band who slipped under the radar and whose music remained undiscovered for decades.  The rest of the disc is rounded out by some known and some very obscure acts, some so obscure we do not even know what their name is!  These tracks were discovered on an old forgotten multi-track reel that was owned by Ernie Myers (guitarist of Hands out of Dallas, TX.). Studios would frequently reuse reels to save costs, and this particular reel was no exception Tracks were discovered on the end of the reel that was used to record some demos in 1980. All that we know of the band are the first names of the members written on a track sheet inside the tape box. The recordings originated out of a studio called JD&D Sound...and that's it. The music is excellent!
  • Released in 2002 on the ShroomAngel Records label, this has been officially reissued in this format.  This studio album marked 25 years of the bands existence (hence the title).
