Audience 7.8 - Kind of noisy but Ted’s guitar is very up front here, that is kind of all you really need to be honest. It’s actually not that bad really. -

Audience 7.3 - A little overcrowding and a little compressed but not the worst I’ve ever heard. -
Audience 8.3 - Good quality in small club environment. -

Soundboard 8.6 - Raw and heavy, and the mix is a little funky to my ears but it’s live rock and roll. -
Soundboard 9.2 - The band, and Ted especially, are red hot and the board mix is quite good allowing for equal distribution of bass, drums, guitars, and vocals. -
Soundboard 9.3 - For the uninitiated, get ready for mind blowing and far ahead of its time guitar shredding. -
Audience 7.8 - Loud and clear pretty much. The recording is very respectable and you can sink your teeth into this set because the guitar is prominent, loud, in the middle and RIPPING. If I could just get one CD of only the solos I would listen to it every day. -
Audience 8.7 - A lo fi recording that astounds you, how can it be possible? It is like a cassette deck recording with one mic but man, it is VERY hot! Blazing electric guitar runs, manic rhythm section, insane over the top music on a cheap portable deck and it smokes. Wow! Torino show is a strong 7.6 -

Audience 8.1 - Exciting live sound here. Not technically perfect, but very strong especially for the guitar which is real clear. -
Audience 8.2 - A touch of over saturation but does not detract from a good, strong recording of an equally strong show. -
Audience 8.9 - Could be a pro recording to my ears. -
Audience 7.7 - If you love very loud and raw recordings, like right in front of the PA stacks, guitars BLASTING, this is your show! A lot of the other acts were also recorded, most of them sound distant and thin, not this! Crank it, but I am warning you, this is a sonic ear blast of epic proportions. -
Audience 8.8 - Excellent! -
Audience 8.7 - Very clear tape, guitar is right up front and sounds bad ass! -
Soundboard 9.5 - Wow this one is fantastic! Could be released officially. -
Audience 8.0 - A utilitarian tape that captures the action on stage where you clearly get each instrument without much separation or dynamics. The selling point of this show is the set list, some seldom performed numbers including Crossroads which is played with aplomb. Energetic, fresh, all that without any hiccups but lacking clarity and dynamic range. -
Soundboard 8.8 - This is a revelation. I had this tape for years and it was marred by annoying distortion in the low frequencies. This remaster cures a lot of that, and consequently you get a much more enjoyable and fun experience out of this show. You have to appreciate this band, when back in the day we rebelled against it because we hung onto our Rush, Zeppelin, Floyd and Van Halen but this music is a nod and a wink to the 60’s garage groups, just done in a ‘modern” setting. Kudos to The B52’s for having originality and humor too. Luv it. -

Pro 9.7 - Superb in every single way possible. Whoa! Get this! -
Pro Live in Studio 8.9 - A fine old tape that shows some compression from having been broadcast over the air. -
Soundboard?? 9.8 - Hard to tell if it is pro audience or soundboard because, for one thing, it is SUPERB in every respect but the audience is clearly recorded during the end of each song which it would not be if it were a pure sdbrd. That being said, the only other thing it could be is a professional, over the air broadcast, but there is none of the typical radio compression on the tape if that is the case. This is absolutely phenomenal. -
Soundboard 9.6 - Spectacular! -
Audience 8.8 - Tapers used good gear, because even though they sound middle of the venue somewhere, it is a strong capture giving nice depth and clarity. So, loads of headroom and atmosphere, a bit far back, but strong, clear, with depth all in all very nice. For those who do not know, this band is an offshoot of Roxy Music featuring Phil Manzanera and Brian Eno (Simon Phillips on drums). -
Pro 9.4 - Obviously this is super clean, but I thought some bottom end was missing. Still, it smokes! -
Audience 8.6 - Very clear, but has a slightly odd balance that eventually does resolve itself somewhat. It’s as if taper is trying to find the best spot, so I can’t fault them. -
Soundboard 8.9 - Very nice board with emphasis on vocals, a little less on the rhythm section but not by much. Classic period with all their hits, but missing Candy-O which is still one of my faves. -

Audience 9.2 - Startling realism, bright, clear, punchy, and well positioned with some peripheral audience atmosphere to really put you in the seat in front of the band. It does sound like the taper had great seats. Really nice this one. -
Audience 8.6 - With the shortage of recordings spanning 2016 to now, anything is welcome including this rather spacious sounding capture. Bigger on atmosphere than super focused instruments, the vocals ring loud and clear but guitar chimes behind most of it all. Still, rather good, and I will take that! -
Audience 9.1 - Thrilling capture! Gives you excellent mid band punch, and really clear, direct to ears sonics -
Audience 9.1 - Taper had really good seats because you don’t get that cavernous sound you might expect at a venue like this. It’s a warm, articulated sound, makes for a satisfying listen. -
Audience 8.7 - What you get here is a lot of large stadium ambiance, actual recording is pretty realistic from around the middle of the venue – not overpowering and good, clear, loud enough to get a sense of the event and of actually being there. It’s good – it’s not overwhelming – just good. Not a lot of 2016 tapes out there so I like having yet another one since the band played different songs at every venue. -
Soundboard 9.5 - Solid all the way through. A band who’s sound and style is suited for larger venues and consequently they are usually always well mixed and balanced. Nice One! -
Soundboard 9.2 - I like these intimate sounding gigs, with tight and punchy mixes. A great early set! -
Soundboard 9.2 - Pleasant, airy, well balanced but it does lean toward thin sounding to me. Still, it’s not exactly a heavy band anyway, so that leaves the listener with much more stuff to hear in the high range, keys, percussion, etc. Sounds very decent. -
Audience 8.6 - It’s easy to find board tapes from most of their tours so I can understand why one might take a pass on an audience tape but you do get a different perspective here, it’s a “bouncier” sound, a more kinetic feel to the happenings and you know, the Cure sometimes drones on a bit so I like having a recording that helps keep things moving. -
Soundboard 9.7 - This one has a great mid range tightness, and well rounded bottom end without sacrificing any highs at all. It’s pro for sure. Really tasty! -
Pro Soundboard 9.3 - Sourced from a pro shot video, the audio thankfully is not too compressed but also not super atmospheric either. It is, however, very clean and well mixed. -
