Audience  8.8 - A solid recording all the way through. Jamming!  

Soundboard  8.4 - Somewhat compressed but everything is evenly mixed.  

Audience  8.1 - Small club sound, a little bit muffled but guitars, vocals and harmonica and even piano come through fine and all in all I think once your ears adjust you can enjoy this. A wild night of rock and roll for sure!  

Audience  9.1 - Excellent dynamics, bass is tight, a good warm and clear recording!

Soundboard  8.9 - It’s a very clean, good board but it features a heavy reverb sound, but it’s probably natural reverb. Still an interesting kind of atmospheric recording.  

CD 1 - Soundboard  9.2 CD 2 - Audience  8.9  

Audience  8.1 - This is actually an admirable capture, getting the entire performance with relatively few (if any) cuts. The tape is not that bad, it is just pretty old and struggles to contain the entire frequency spectrum so you get a tiny bit of “static” where the band is really loud and jamming. It’s pretty clear though, and thankfully the guitars shine through well, with a good rounded bass holding down the lows.  

Soundboard  9.3 - Some tape hiss during quieter passages, but overall an excellent show.  

Audience  8.6 - A little bit thin as far as this recording goes in that it could use a little more bottom end but that is not a deal breaker because it is not a “shrill” thin, just could use more lows. That being said, there’s a lot to chew on with this show. Great performance, good quality, so just be aware the singer requires some getting used to!  Have fun.  

Audience  8.9 - Very strong, clear, and dynamic recording.  

Audience  7.8 - Both shows roughly the same with enough differences to say one has qualities the other doesn’t have and vice versa. So whereas in one show you might get more definition on guitar, the other will have more vocal presence and a slightly better rhythm section. Take your pick, two vintage Atomic Rooster gigs hardly a losing proposition.  

Audience  9.2 - KANSAS opened up for BAD COMPANY on this exciting night in 1976. We have that show listed as well.  

CD 1 - Brisbane - Audience  7.8  (a little bit flat maybe but it is clear enough you hear the whole band, still enjoyable nonetheless) CD 2 - Lancaster - Audience  8.6  (a great recording here)  

Audience  7.6 - I wish this sounded better because it’s one of the few recordings capturing that rare moment when they are joined by the Zeppers. So, yeah, a little rough with the loudness and all, but important in a historical sense.  

Audience  8.4 - It’s good sound for the most part but I find it on the thin side, and there’s a rather narrow sound field giving it a mono quality (it may not be mono but it sounds mono). The second show is an FM broadcast 8.8  

Chicago - Soundboard  9.4 / Detroit - Audience  8.8  

Audience 7.8 -  Not bad as far as overall clarity but certainly lacking in depth and could really use a remastering which would help immensely. The sounds are there, there is some slight tape noise, but the music is all there and this show can be enjoyed…just add some boost in the lows and mids perhaps.

Audience 7.0 - A noisy tape, hissy and in need of some kind of NR. That being said, if you like a massively loud sounding tape this is your choice.
