Audience 8.7 - Sound resides somewhere in the mid range and does not feature well defined high end but does have a warm, round bottom to it. The mix does not favor any one instrument, it’s rather even, and all in all the listening experience, while not exceptional in any way, is also not offensive. Audience 9.5 - Listening to this recording made me think for a second I was listening to classic Gabriel era sans Peter Gabriel (he’s backstage nursing cold) ha ha! What I mean is, the performance and setlist is reminiscent of an earlier time because the band seem to be playing the songs as if for the first time. It’s just great to hear – and the sound quality is top shelf. Audience 8.1 - Yes this is ranked pretty low on the sound quality scale, but it’s not a disaster because this is actually a full point or more better than the previous version of this legendary gig. It’s not unlistenable, and the proof is that you can hear every word Gabriel says during his stories. Extensive work in repairing and remastering this from a 1st generation tape made all the difference. Rediscover the earliest known live Genesis recording because for historical purposes there is no more significant a recording than this. Audience 8.7 - This tape is surprisingly clear, it is not super dynamic but it is nice and clear. It’s almost like a REALLY good AM radio broadcast. It has a narrow sound field, but it is comfortable there, and comfortable to your ears. Phil sounds like he’s singing right next to you, pretty cool. Audience 8.7 - The tape is new to circulation and it’s a good one. The rating reflects only that there is a lack of dynamics in the bandwidth of the tape but the clarity is decent and it is a comfortable listen – not harsh, not muddy, not brittle…it’s a good tape and I am glad it was discovered. Audience 8.3 - This recording is balancing very finely on the borderline but thankfully falls onto the “acceptable” side. I would call it slightly above average maybe, as the tape shows some typical age limitations, but still manages to present the evening in a listenable quality. Audience 8.6 - Right down in there with the crowd, listening to the audience listening to the band. The band and their music sound terrific, the audio quality is actually pretty darn good, bright, not distorted, maybe not as full on the bottom end but the bass itself is very round but not thumping. Drums are crisp and well defined. This is actually a good recording! -
Audience 8.3 - Sounds kind of distant, but because it is not echoey you can adjust and then place yourself in the seat of the taper. -
Audience 8.2 - Vocals a little buried, all music pretty clear and detailed. -
Audience 8.7 - A surprisingly decent tape surfaces from Italy where Genesis found initial acceptance in the early part of their career. Sound is clear for the most part, and the timbre is pleasing to the ear…if I can knock it I would say maybe it is a bit compressed in the middle, so no crispness in the highs nor definition in the low end but it’s not the kind of compression that you get from, say, a video tape. It’s quite good like I said so feel secure if you get it knowing it will be worthwhile. Audience 7.6 - Has a kind of thin quality to it even though you can hear everything on stage. Sounds like it needs a nice big punch in the middle, someone needs to remaster this one. Not crappy, just needs a mastering job. -

A warm sound, with emphasis on clear and crisp drums, bright vocals, detailed bass, and percussive keys but all in all really I find the sound mix relaxing and I sank right into this recording for the duration. Audience 8.5 - Starts off a little funky as the taper gets in position but slowly develops into a very good and clear recording for the duration. The audience is golden, very respectful and this makes for a better overall experience too. -
Soundboard 9.1 - Technically sounds good, bright, crisp and all that, but I am not in love with the overall sound mix. It’s serviceable though.
