• Audience 9.0 - I have to say this is a very good recording if your preference is to really be able to make out the vocals and to hear every nuance of the lead guitar possible. In fact, the sonics tend to favor the upper mid-range and highs, to the extent that I was not enthusiastic about the sound of the snare drum here...but that just shows you how articulate that range is. Is it screechy then? No, it's not that this is chirpy or screechy high at all, but one may want to play with the EQ to bring up more low end maybe...because to my ears that is what it needs.   • Audience 9.4 - Bright, lively, well-positioned recording that doesn't leave anything out. If anything, I would have preferred even more lower end, that being said the bass itself is detailed and clear. I also, maybe, would have equalized just a little more of the mid band and highs, rolling off them just a touch but this is a GREAT problem to have for an analog tape recording. Putting high end into the spectrum is way much harder to do than removing it. Again though, this is just seasoning to taste and the listener may find it perfect - which technically speaking I admit the frequency range is extremely intact here. When I first discovered rock and roll, the radio was on repeat with the Frampton Comes Alive! album, and everyone in the neighborhood had a copy. I had it on 8 track. This live recording is the bomb, just a wonderful document of a great moment in 70's rock music history. I love the atmosphere too, everything about this actually does "come alive" and for that it deserves the high rating.   • Audience 9.0 - The only thing keeping this from attaining legendary status is the slight distortion present in a very specific middle to upper band in the frequency range. It's not a deal-breaker, it's in a place where you still get all the richness of the low end and the detail in the high end. The taper obviously used very good gear, so maybe the microphone he used and the location in the venue perhaps limited the recording in a way, because this is still a damn good tape but could have been a bona-fide must have.
