Audience 8.8 - Previously available as a single track, Watcher Of The Skies was merely a taste of a tantalizing recording that has now been painstakingly restored from the original master cassette and it reveals much more than collectors could have imagined. Audience 9.0 - This band is certainly an acquired taste for many, but every ear can agree to the quality of this recording. Airy but right there in a very comfortable mid range with very detailed high end and a smooth, round bass. Terrific! -

Audience 7.5 - A tape that struggles to get better, like you keep expecting it to suddenly open up because it isn’t bad once the taper gets his levels set. It maybe hovers too close to the bottom, but you get the sounds of everything on stage, maybe vocals a little behind the mix but so what? It’s Gentle Giant, you want the music parts mainly. I think fans can appreciate this early gig. -
Aud 8.3 - Surprisingly clear, at full volume there’s maybe some crowding as drums fight for attention in the mix, but basically what you have here is a great idea of what an early 70’s GG concert would have sounded like. Realistic, and the band is just so good, more rocking and less quirky maybe. -

CD 1 Audience 8.8 - A very good, bright, well balanced recording. Most welcomed because for me, it’s this time period (actually 1970-73) of the band I like the most. CD 2 Audience 8.1 - A somewhat flat, and a little bit muffled recording. I can still hear everything, it lacks dynamic range, but I did not find it annoyingly so, just when compared to disc 1 this one sounds lifeless. Audience 8.8 - A large hall with a lot of atmosphere but the recording thankfully was handled with care by the tapers. Not super close, but not nosebleed, levels are perfect, and the stereo effect is nice. Audio quality is decent, giving you a pretty solid idea of what you would have been hearing with your own ears if you were there. -

Audience 9.3 - For me, because this is a recording from 2023, I place high expectations on it. There is no excuse because you have the best P.A.’s, the best digital recorders, and great microphones. So I want something that gives me a sense of being there and this tape does that. I like the “in the pit” feel of this tape, and I really like the immersive audio. Great! Soundboard 9.4 - Anytime you can find a soundboard of this band you really ought to grab it. I think it allows the listener to get all the nuance, the sound effects so-to-speak that make Ghost a little bit better than the competition. Plus the songs are interesting, and the voice is perfectly matched to the style.

Audience 9.4 - Superior to a board tape in my opinion because it is recorded in the way that your ears would have picked up the sound in the venue, with the perfectly balanced stereo mixing and balancing of instruments to each side of the stage. Wonderful!
