• Incredible early collection featuring performances from 1975 taken from master tapes and never sounding better, and more complete. Simply the best Aerosmith early live collection ever produced.
  • Hard rock group from Houston active during the mid 70's and were primarily known as a covers band, playing many of the well known clubs in town. They recorded a handful of original songs in 1975, and disbanded following some unfortunate incidents while on the road. A single 7" record was released, however, and gained enough traction that rhythm guitarist Jimmy Lee Dean decided to continue on and recruit new members (the era known as Jeremiah MK II). This version of the band recorded a full length LP which never saw the light of day as the manager absconded with the master reels soon after the sessions, and nobody heard from him since. Eventually, we rediscovered these masters and attempted to transfer them in the studio but the tapes had severely degraded, the material, such as it is, is also contained on this collection. A 40th Anniversary reunion concert occurred in 2014, and excerpts from that show are included on the 2nd disc. All known recordings of this band are included in this package.
  • Hard blues rock band formed in 1975 in Houston, TX. Featured vocalist BB. Watson who left Houston to pursue a career in Nashville as a C&W singer. He had some fleeting success, eventually came back to Houston and worked with Michael Knust (Fever Tree) and Keith York (Albatross, Rare Breed) for a stint and also attempted to reunite the Rare Breed (those sessions contained on this CD). Rare Breed also featured the guitar of Robert Hampton before he joined Hooker. These are all the known recordings.
  • Audience  8.7 - This is a very bright and clear recording from close to the stage. Loads of electrifying atmosphere – you literally are planted right in between the tapers close to the stage and you really sense that.
  • Audience 9.7 - Simply gorgeous this one. Full, dynamic, clear, and a great balance of instruments for what can only be described as a thoroughly pleasant and infinitely enjoyable audience recording. I have to say this could very well be a MUST HAVE for the collection. Jethro Tull Dorothy Chandler Pavilion Music Center Los Angeles, CA January 16, 1977 Disc 1 01. Quartet 02. Wonderin’ Aloud 03. • Soundboard 9.5 - A lively board tape that suggests the band was thinking of a live release. This is not a reference mix to my ears. • Soundboard 9.4 - Clear and bold (especially percussion) capturing a very fine creative period of the band (the dual guitar with Neal Schon being especially notable). I did notice a slight amount of distortion in the lower frequencies but it's barely noticeable. The mix does change towards the end of No One To Depend On and a lot of the boominess and excessive volume is dialed back so it mitigates any distortion present. SANTANA Denver Coliseum Denver, CO. • Soundboard 9.7 - A killer one in every way, including an absolutely devastating performance delivered by the band. This is peak Triumph, and simply a must have. • Audience 8.8 - This here is a very nice tape! It also shows the band firing on all four cylinders (yes, I am afraid this is only a 4 banger but this engine puts out more horsepower than a 12 cylinder Lambo!). Good looking package, good sounding gig, great performance, legendary venue...I could go on. Led Zeppelin Olympia Stadium Detroit, Mich. January 31, 1975 Disc 1 1. Rock And Roll 3:54 2. • Audience 2 Source Matrix 9.2 - The best part here is how awesome the bass and drums sound together - so massive yet enough detail to separate them nicely. Guitars and vocals occupy essentially the same space in the mix, neither rising high enough to hog the bandwidth. So, all in all I think this matrix gives us the best possible audio of this show and that is a really good thing!

  • Audience 8.7 - A recording that, while it does not open up to reveal a heck of a lot of depth, it is clear and present, with thump and some big arena bombast. The vocals do not appear up front in the mix, and low end is not highly defined although very present in a "feel" sense, the entirety of the sound can be roundly enjoyed though, as the relative clarity and presence of the band give this old tape credibility in the collector world. • Audience 8.8 - A very pleasant, easy on the ears recording. There's a lot of positive atmosphere and some mild audience participation but this is definitely one you can get into. Not much from this tour, so it is very good to be able to hear them as they were in 1982. Electric Light Orchestra Saarbrucken, Germany March 4, 1982 Disc 1 1. Twilight 2. Yours Truly 2095 3. • Soundboard 9.1 - A decent if slightly muted mix, although drums and vocals retain more of an animated feel about their sound. I like this period, it sounds very 1970's (as if Frank ever really sounded any different) but I am not greedy and I take any board tape I can get, this one is certainly worthy of the collection.
