• Audience 7.4 - This tape is a prime candidate for a remastering. The sound is clear but a little distant, and the levels are low. There isn’t anything necessarily wrong with the tape that can’t be fixed.
  • Audience 8.5 - Some tape noise present, and some issues with the tape containing the sheer volume of the PA’s when the band is in full swing, but really this is a pretty “live” tape that gives you a great sense of the moment. Atmosphere is pretty cool, the sound is clear for the most part excepting the somewhat cluttered bandwidth at high volume. Worth getting.
  • Audience 8.3 - A little hissy, but surprisingly clear, even when the band is at full volume.
  • Audience 8.8 - A great stereo recording from the 5th row back, center. Occasional mic drop out in the 2nd half of the show - fixed but tape went mono for a bit. A really nice and immersive concert recording.
  • Audience 9.2 - What immediately strikes you about this recording is that Rick Wright’s synth sounds and effects are NOT window dressing! In fact, they are almost overwhelmingly loud at times during the concert. Now, what I like most about old recordings is when they reveal something to me I never knew – in this case I did not know or appreciate how much Rick’s work, however consequential during the song, was not mixed out or down by any stretch but you might think that judging on the myriad hundreds of tapes that exist that do not give you a true appreciation of the volume.  This tape is insistent, relentless, and thankfully clear and dynamic. The middle and upper midrange is sometimes almost too much but never does it distort. Get ready for a front row earschplittenloudenboomer! • Audience 8.8  - This came from a collection of tapes that were recorded by a couple who had the permission of the venue, so you would expect them to be done with more precision and care….but the story goes that they never listened to the finished results and therefore were unaware of the flaws in all of their efforts, mainly being signal overload. Now, this is where modern technology comes in to the equation – because after all these years we are able to notch out the offending frequencies and now the tapes sound VERY good! Listen to the difference, go back and find a pre-mastered version of this show and then listen to this one. It’s amazing, really amazing what a well trained ear can do for some of these old artifacts. This show also happens to be an inspired performance too, so win/win. • Audience 8.8 - Once again, we are literally fighting it out in the rows with the fans but thankfully the music comes through it all in fine fashion, which is amazing in and of itself. Taper must have used pretty good hear to accomplish this feat – how to survive in the sweaty pits of hell and at the same time produce a very decent bootleg tape!  Well, they did, so thank you taper for your efforts. • NEW SOURCE Audience 8.7 This is a major upgrade to the previous version (see old review below for comparison) and as such we felt that it had to be offered here as a replacement. If you purchased the previous version (the artwork is untouched, only the music has been replaced in this set) than you are entitled to receive replacement discs without charge (pay postage cost only). Just reach out to us and we will take it from there. If you have never bought this title, than consider this one worthy of the collection. I will offer this caveat though - it is a recording that still shows its share of shortcomings, such as maybe a touch of overload during more bombastic passages (not nearly as bad as previous!), and the last track is incomplete (better an incomplete but listenable track than a totally un-listenable mess). OLD SOURCE  Audience 7.2 This one is rather mediocre, although it is not “unlistenable” at all, but compared to other 1977 recordings it is what I would classify as “for completists only”. That being said, I can point out a few moments of this concert that I found interesting in a lot of ways. Like, during Pigs On The Wing Pt.1 you hear large explosions from the audience (possibly fireworks or maybe PA problem?) and you immediately think of Roger and how he’s probably disgusted with the whole thing by this time. • Audience 7.3 - Thin sounding but clear enough to enjoy, occasional moments of 7.8 – 8.0 when the band is playing their more atmospheric parts.
  • Audiece 7.9 – 8.4 - During mellower passages the elegance of the sound comes through really nicely and you just sort of float along, but when the band gets cooking the old analog tape struggles and there’s some overcrowding of the bandwidth. That doesn’t mean it kills this show! This is a great experience and you will simply love this as you get totally sucked into the performance which is stellar.
  • Audience 8.8 - A very clear recording that lacks a lot of depth, but delivers in other areas that make for a very decent listen.

Audience 9.1 - The last of a four night stand in Paris, and probably the best of the recordings made. Strong, clear, and a nice warm mid tone, although not as atmospheric, meaning taper must have been close (and knew how to operate the recording levels!).
  • Audience 7.7 - Obviously one that everyone needs as it is one of the rare performances of “Tea Time” sequence. Good sound, not going to blow you away but it is ok, maybe low levels, some tape hiss.

Audience 8.7 - This is a good and reasonably clear (some tape hiss) recording which reminds me a lot of the Hamburg 1971 recording. I would not be surprised if this was done by the same guys. As a bonus, there is a third disc containing the film footage of Atom Heart Mother from this show. It should be playable on most players, this disc is formatted as a video disc (compact disc containing an MP4 file), if you have any problems please let us know. It should play fine on your computer, and most DVD machines will know what to do with it.
  • Audience 9.2 - A really quality recording for the time. Some audience chatter before songs, overall very respectful. Good atmosphere, heavy vibe, great performance. Hard to not want this one featured prominently in the collection. • Audience 9.3 - One of those “must have” titles that is quite necessary for any serious Pink Floyd collector. While this recording is not perfect, it does have exceptional atmosphere and each instrument is distinct. The overall timbre of the recording is in the mid range, and sometimes at full volume there’s just a touch of overcrowding but there are what I call “the intangibles” of what makes a recording rate 9.0 or higher and this tape has them.
  • Audience 8.8/9.1 - Two pretty good recordings with the second evening (July 4th) having the benefit of much more high end definition and overall clarity, with soaring headroom that makes for a generally relaxing listen, so you’ll tend to favor it more but that is not saying July 3rd is bad, it’s actually also very decent just not as clear and defined as the 4th. • Audience 8.3 - Distant, with a limited bandwidth that keeps the sound from really opening up wider. It’s not the worst of the tour, the music is listenable, in fact guitars ring out nicely but the vocals are too distant. You will need to turn up the volume on this, where it actually sounds better the louder it is (strange because you would think it would magnify the flaws but it helps in this case). • Audience 8.7 - A very clean tape recording, sonically it is extremely good for the time period. I only notice maybe vocals being a little bit underneath the music which is not a bother when you consider that most of this is instrumental anyway…however that is a minor quibble, this is a great recording for 1970. • Audience 8.8 - Great one for all to enjoy.
  • Audience 9.3 - This is rated so high because it is simply “mind expanding” stuff. A must own if you are into the trippier, more experimental Floyd. Wow is all I can say!
  • Audience 8.9 - An infamous gig, Roger has had quite enough from a fan and spits on him. But the show – the show is a good ‘un, and captured very well here with a very clear and direct guitar sound primarily but solid rhythm section as well and some of the atmosphere does present. Its limitation might be that there are a couple of cuts and other tape related issues (few and far between) and maybe that keys get a little buried at times but really it’s no deal breaker just minor things. Highly recommend this one!
  • Audience 7.7 - A rain shortened show, recorded from what sounds like around the middle of the stadium. So, it’s a little distant, a little muddled, not that great but you do get to hear everything on the stage. When I say muddled I do not mean it is muddy or murky necessarily, just that the sound is not that clear. I think collectors will want this because it is unusual, that the show was stopped for rain – although they did play more, just did not play for as long as they usually did.
  • Audience 9.2 - A nice and bright tape, very clear, very clean, instantly you feel as though these tapers came with serious intention. How I was not familiar with this tape is a head scratcher because it is great. Pink Floyd Miami Baseball Stadium Miami, Florida 1977-04-22 Disc 1 01. -Sheep (10:58) 02. -Pigs On The Wing (Part 1) (1:21) 03. -Dogs (18:18) 04. -Pigs On The Wing (Part 2) (2:28) 05. -Pigs (Three Different Ones) (17:33) Disc 2 01. -Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts 1-5) (13:38) 02. -Welcome To The Machine (7:55) 03. -Have A Cigar (5:27) 04. -Wish You Were Here (6:21) 05. -Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts 6-9) (22:06) 06. -Money (9:38) 07. -Us And Them (7:49)
  • Audience 8.3 - Has that huge outdoor stadium type sound but it helps in a strange way this time.

Audience 8.5 - A loud and brassy sound with a little tiny amount of overload somewhere in the upper mid frequency which, if you were to choose where to have it, would be there. So, that all sounds bad, but not really…this is a very satisfying listening experience because the actual tone and ambience of this recording is amazingly realistic and gives a sense of the venue (which gives a “time-trip” feeling to it). I rather like it a lot.
  • Audience 8.8  - Some people list this as a soundboard, and if you heard the music right off you might think that too, but the audience applause gives it away as an audience tape, albeit a damn fine one. Plenty of atmosphere, and pretty solid dynamics (lush and deep bass, clear guitar, present vocals). Great version of Astronomy Domine (still performed live during the early part of 1970). • Audience 8.7 - Here is a good argument for why we should be open minded towards audience tapes. You NEED some atmosphere! I want to re-experience the show, that means I want to hear it as it happened, not sterilized and filtered. I like board tapes too, but we need a balance. This recording allows me to participate with the audience and be there with them in the moment, and hear the band from out front of the stage. It’s clean, and I hear all the instruments well placed, and reasonably dynamic with just the right amount of headroom so we don’t go pegging the meters. I really like this tape, you will too.
