• Audience 8.8 - A very decent, wide field recording. What that means is there’s a lot of headroom so you can turn it up and it will sound even better. • CD 1,2 - Hammersmith, UK - Audience  7.3 - Big and loud stadium sound but you can hear all instruments and there’s reasonable clarity if not a touch of boominess. CD 3 - Milan, Italy - Audience  8.8 - Excellent capture!
  • Soundboard  8.6 - Levels a bit low so turn it up.
  • Audience 8.4 - The same taping crew that did the Ozzy Osbourne, and it sounds very similar but maybe a touch clearer. It’s a pretty good effort, especially when you consider the year, and what I mean is that the tape recording equipment used during most of the 80’s did not usually produce anything to write home about. So, overall, this is a really decent early period Def Leppard recording. DEF LEPPARD Music Mountain South Fallsburg, NY. • CD reissue of an album that came out in 1983. CD is new, never played.
  • Audience  7.8 - Tape is a little over saturated but all the music comes through and well separated so that you get every piano key, every guitar note, every bass note, etc. and it’s great.
  • Audience  8.8 - This is a strange recording because at first it may seem as though it is a board tape because there’s virtually no audience noise at all. Closer examination reveals that it is more likely an open mic placed right up on the stage or close to the mains. It is a little hot, meaning the levels are near max, but thankfully it only comes to the bleeding edge and does not fall off the cliff. A pretty darn exciting tape!
  • All Pro Soundboard  9.6 - Stunning quality!
