• Soundboard 9.6 - Incredible in every way.
  • Post EQ band originally released on Blotto Records in 1984.  Import from UK, SEALED.
  • Brand New - Sealed original pressing on Black Widow (not the newer reissue)
  • Audience 8.6 - A gentle sound, like in a coffee shop or small TV studio. Very intimate!
  • Audience 9.4 - Super clean and present, right up front recording that sparkles.
  • All Pro Studio 9.7 - All tracks were professionally recorded by Pete Townshend in his home studio in Old Church Street, Chelsea, and Twickenham.
  • Soundboard 8.6-9.0 - Varying degrees but all very good
  • Audience 8.8 - Crisp highs and a good round bottom end here, maybe just a slightly bunched up middle but this recording is slamming.
  • Audience 9.2 - A really nicely done tape, which of course anyone with a modern digital recorder and good mics “should” be able to accomplish in 2023. This taper did just that, a complete show in very good sound. Peter Gabriel TD Garden Boston MA. • Soundboard 9.2 - Excellent and vibrant!
  • Audience 9.0 - This is a really bold and vibrant recording, where you get this palpable “thwap” of the drums that feels like you are there. In very quiet passages there is the slightest of tape hiss but it’s actually kind of hard to find things to be critical of with this one. It’s really good! • Audienjce 8.8 - Very present and clear and nice kick drum sound that anchors everything.
  • Audience 8.7 - This recording is very hard to distinguish between audience or soundboard. I guess the later, but who knows?  Either way, it’s pretty good. • Audience 9.0 -A fine recording that does not have that digital signature to it, although many digital recordings are fine it’s just that an analog capture more faithfully replicates the vibe of the event being captured. • Pro SDBRD 9.5 - Recorded for broadcast this uses two different sources of the broadcast but you don’t really notice the transition. What you will notice is how amazing this is, and what makes it really cool is how much Peter addresses the audience. It’s an intimate feeling gig, everyone is so dialed in to what is happening in the room with Peter…imagine, no cell phones, no distracted idiots, just genuine love and appreciation for the performer and his craft. I miss that. • Audience 9.3 - This is the result of tapers who CARE about what they are doing to the point of using the best gear, for starters, seating in the best location, and using the utmost care to successfully capture the event…then having the prescience to preserve the result for future generations to enjoy. This is AWESOME in every way. Fuck man, if you can’t appreciate this recording, and this artist, just do us all a favor and find some other thing because music ain’t  it for you. • Audience 8.6 - Some good tones herein, pretty bright and clear. Enjoy this one!
  • Audience 8.0 - This has a very pleasant warm feeling to it, very intimate vibe. Sound fidelity is quite good although levels are almost right at the breaking point so there's no headroom to play with as far as EQ. It has probably been mastered already, from a master tape it sounds like. It's a good 8.0 to my ears. Very enjoyable.
  • Audience 9.5 - Excellent capture with full, lush sound quality that accurately captures what happened that evening on stage. If you want a representation of Peter Gabriel’s current tour you can do no wrong by listening to this show. • Audience 9.3 - One thing you must concede about recordings from this venue – they are almost 100% of the time decent overall but more importantly extremely pleasant atmospherically. Audiences here are generally very attuned to the performer on stage, knowing the music, and there to listen to the music. The Roxy was a venue for music connoisseurs. A brilliant tape here to add to your collection.

  • Audience 8.4 - Has some good mid punch to it.
  • Audience 8.8 - A very warm, and casual show that features nicely defined bass notes, but you are giving up some crispness in this recording in favor of a more mid-range sound which suits me fine. This is a pleasant recording of a relaxed Gabriel and a tight backing band
  • Audience 8.8 - A good recording that is taken from one side of the stage as you get much more bass presence than guitar which is probably how you would prefer if you are a big fan of Peter Hook – and not surprisingly the bass sounds badass here. • Audience 9.2 - Tremendous presence, like you are sitting on the lawn in front of the stage. Great!
  • FM Broadcast 9.1 - A board tape that seems to have a more ambient quality to it, meaning it sounds like close mic’ing rather than direct into board. That means you do not hear the audience as is typical of a board tape, but you do get a “room” sound like the quality of an audience tape, albeit a very good one. This is a real good tape but it does sound somewhat dated and thankfully the remastered version (this one) brings more clarity and punch than before. • Radio Broadcast 9.1 - A rare find, this is a band that can be best defined as an eclectic, world music progressive band that features some ethnic style music that occasionally fuses in some nice, tasty jazzy electric guitar rock stylings. Mostly Very Good to Excellent quality audience recordings. Interesting to listen in this context, with the idea being that the band worked out the arrangements in front of live audiences then went to record after the tour. • Audience 7.0 - Something about this recording I find very interesting. It’s a haunting, mystical vibe, a somber heaviness that falls over the stadium and envelopes everything. The recording gives you just enough to experience it, despite it not being exactly hi-fi, it is truly fascinating to experience this show from this taper’s perspective. You will be totally pulled into this gig, and the recording slowly does seem to get better. I like it!
  • Audience 8.5 - A solid tape, with the occasional shouts of “sit down” to add atmosphere. Everything comes through lovely, and seemingly pretty close to the taper. Solid Solid Solid.
  • Atlanta 1977 Audience 8.6 - At times the tape shines (quieter sections) but for the louder parts (most of the concert) the bass overtakes guitar, and the bass is not boomy so it is not an annoying thing it’s more of a live mix thing. Clarity is very good but not great, frequencies are all intact here, the sound can breathe a little, it’s not a bad tape and it is not a great tape…and I think the consensus is that you would benefit from having it in the collection. Louisville 1977 Audience 8.7 - The sound here borders on distortion but manages to stay within a sane level of tolerance due to exceptional re-mastering (which is so difficult, to keep highs and mids but lose clipping, it’s a task I would not want myself). If taper was able to manage his levels, this would have been one of the best audience tapes of all time…you can hear the quality, but yeah, some problems there with the upper level distortion keep it as a very good tape as opposed to extremely great. Still, I have to say this is well worth having. Milwaukee 1977 Audience 8.2 - This is the kind of tape that is hard to get through without needing some major adjusting. I can tell you only that even after careful re-mastering, it is still an average tape with some decent moments but mostly difficult on the ears. It’s saving grace?  It’s a brand new discovery, and is only popping up for the first time since it was first recorded. I enjoyed the quieter parts (such as Wish You Were Here, and the acoustic portions of the Pigs suites). • Audience 8.9 - When this recording first starts you get a little worried that it is going to be crap, but when the band begins to play, the sound gets surprisingly good, so much so that it totally sucks you into the moment and you lose yourself in the band. Fantastic!
  • Audience 7.4 - Sounds pretty low generation, but it’s typical of the era being kind of AM radio sounding but on the positive side, the instruments are good and clear if maybe the guitar is a bit in the back.
  • Audience 9.4 - An excellent recording featuring one unusual distinction in that guitars are hard panned to one side making for a unique listening experience. It kind of adds to the atmosphere actually. A great one!
  • Audience 7.3 to 7.6 in quieter parts  (upgrade).

Audience 8.9 - A really cool recording in that keys, drums and bass sound right next to you but guitar swirls above them, and over your head, and around your ears… VERY nice atmosphere and picked up extremely well by the taper.
