Audience 8.7 - Right in your face, loud and clear, which is appropriate for this hard hitting style of rock and roll. -
Audience 9.0/8.5/8.7 - All four discs are very good source tapes with the first two discs being the strongest with a sound quality that sits nicely on the ears, very comfortable, albeit slightly further back in the hall than the other two discs. I think the other shows maybe feature a louder, more up front guitar sound, but at the same time are also a bit more crowded in that frequency although at no time is there distortion present. Disc 3 suffers from a little bit of the typical big sound onto little cassette recorder where it’s just not as clear as you wish but at least you can hear what is going on, and it is not what I would call muddy sounding. Disc 4 is decent in the fact that you have a clear guitar, tone is audible which is crucial when you are listening to Leslie West. All instruments audible and distinct but not rising much above a middle to upper 8 rating. All in all, I am pleased at the overall sound quality in this set seeing as how there are not many really high quality audios of this band. Audience 8.7 - Sounds like 1977, very dated but it's a very clear tape. Doesn't stray too much into the low end of the sound pool, but neither is it a "thin to win" tape. Audience 8.8 - A good, bright recording that features rich bass, and strong vocals in particular. This allows you to hear the musicianship which believe it or not, these guys have! Brand New - This is the best sounding Soundboard Recording of “headless Tour” for sure! And also an hard one to find! Blackie and Johnny are taking turns singing their asses off and that comes through crisp and clear on this soundboard recording. -
Brand New - Although it's a soundboard recording this show is not the best sounding one. It has some very interesting moments of WASP live showing the band at its peak! -
Seattle 1977 Audience 9.3 - Captured in a smaller venue you get a great sense of the proximity, and the space surrounding taper as bits of chatter and background noises lend ambience. A great recording!

Eric Turner made self-released CD called “Demos for Diehards” containing 11 unreleased tracks from Warrant’s early career. Here you have that same set of 11 songs plus a bunch of 6 unreleased tracks recoded though bands career in the 90’s. A must for every Warrant fan! -

Studio Recording - This is actually a recent album (digital download only) of a band that first formed in Germany in 1969, and I knew absolutely nothing about them. Turns out they are really good! Their stock in trade is playing familiar progressive 70’s rock arrangements with the same vintage equipment used in their 70’s prime, but recording with modern facilities to get a full, powerful sound. I would say mission accomplished because this is quite good, and not only good but the fact that some of their older material is here in a reworked fashion that does it justice...which is kinda rare to find these days. Audience 8.2 - Drums and vocals present, rhythm section just behind them but the recording is not suffering from typical large hall boominess or distortion so it offers a reasonable enjoyment factor to these ears. -
Brand New - Sealed Sound quality on all releases on this label is excellent. -
Studio 8.7 - A little sonic degradation to these professional studio demos (the bonus tracks are abbreviated probably due to legal reasons at the time they were recorded). Some of the tracks are better quality, but the worst are still very good, just maybe a little loss of clarity and fidelity but nothing major. You’ll enjoy this if you are a fan. -
Brand New - The classic Venom Performance recorded in early ‘90s at Marquee Club only available on VHS tape. With Tony “Demolition Man” on vocals, this show represents the best of Venom Mark II. -
Audience 8.9 - A slight improvement over the 1st night recording, but only by the narrowest margin. I do hear more keys, but they tend to “blast” a bit here. A collection of rare, never before issues tracks originating from Texas during the 1970's. Featuring a handful of demos produced by the group Truck, a band who slipped under the radar and whose music remained undiscovered for decades. The rest of the disc is rounded out by some known and some very obscure acts, some so obscure we do not even know what their name is! These tracks were discovered on an old forgotten multi-track reel that was owned by Ernie Myers (guitarist of Hands out of Dallas, TX.). Studios would frequently reuse reels to save costs, and this particular reel was no exception Tracks were discovered on the end of the reel that was used to record some demos in 1980. All that we know of the band are the first names of the members written on a track sheet inside the tape box. The recordings originated out of a studio called JD&D Sound...and that's it. The music is excellent! -
Audience 8.8 - What this tape shows is that Vanilla Fudge were loud as hell on stage. That Hammond organ, it filled every square molecule of space with massive sound. No other bands at the time were using an organ quite like this! But, it’s fun to hear, if a little dated perhaps. A loud tape that barely stays together at full volume but miraculously manages to capture the event in good form. Vanilla Fudge .... Audience 8.8 - A very good recording here, and the atmospherics are plentiful. There’s a natural reverb going on that adds another dimension to this, and I mean that in a good way. Lovely!
