Audience - all shows Berlin Aud 7.2 A reasonably clear tape, Jimi vocals come through and guitar is right up front too. Drums a little buried but you get enough to know what’s going on. Enjoyable! Cologne Aud 7.0 Mono recording without much separation of instruments, guitar being the clearest here. Hamburg Aud 6.6 Very loud and distorted recording. Nuremberg Aud 6.7 Thin, with tape noise present, no dynamics, only Jimi's guitar is heard but it is heard clearly ringing out like he was the only one mic’d up! -
Aud 7.6 - Exciting brutal live sound with bristling, tangible electricity that will send hairs on your neck to shivering. Not pro, not perfect, but has that manic excitement and energy that makes the gig. -
Aud 6.8 - Overloaded tape, and raucous crowd, but with all that Jimi’s guitar cuts right through and surprisingly is a decent sound and not paper thin. Strange tape, should be horrible but there’s just enough here to suck you right into to this show. I tell you what, you really get a sense of the volume of a Hendrix gig! -

Aud 7.3 - Gets better, is loud but not too overloaded. Small club atmosphere, a real treasure of a ’68 show. -
Audience 8.7 - An explosive concert, totally off the chain here. Quality is solid, for the time period especially – a very immediate punch, very lively, lacking all the niceties for sure but you won’t care, believe me. -

Soundboard 8.8 - Very cool when you listen to these ’66 shows because to my ears this music really was the heart and soul of the hippie free love movement. Just incredible stuff. -
Radio Broadcast 8.3 - Somewhat hissy but MUCH better than the version that circulated before. Someone remastered this, thank goodness because it’s great but needed some work. -
Audience 8.7 - A fascinating live document that showcases some amazing talents paired with Jack’s keen sense of songcraft on a night where all cylinders are firing. A great way to begin exploring the post Cream Jack Bruce if you have not done so already. The bonus material on disc 2 is equally fascinating, offering a sneak peak into the inner workings of Jack’s mind. Everyone can get into this power-packed set! -

Iron Maiden - Tour of Japan 1982: (complete set) Volume One: Audience 7.4 - Thankful for these Japanese tapers who had the best gear at the time. Reasonably clear if a little squashed, it nevertheless is way better than 85% of the early Maiden audience recordings. Volume Two: Audience 7.6 - Just a touch better than Volume one, suffers from the same limitations but has a slightly more open sound. Volume Three: Audience 8.4 - This is best of the tour by far. A great early audience recording...it’s clear and open sounding. Yes! -

Audience 6.3 - There is music here, buried under time and dust. Understanding that we have a limited number of pre-Bruce era tapes, and that most of those sound horrid, it is suggested one must hunt down the ones that have been mastered like this one. -
Audience 7.0 - It is one of the better early Audience recordings. Nice and clear, lots of small club atmosphere. Not too bad ! -
Audience 7.2 - A very desirable early Maiden show because it is one of the better sounding audience recordings. Very few early Maiden shows are well recorded. This one suffers from lack of bottom end but it is rather clear and thus it is sought out by collectors. -
Soundboard 9.2 - What more can one ask? Heavenly bliss. -
Soundboard 8.8 - A slightly aged sounding tape that received a much needed EQ and level boost recently that lifted it a full point higher ratings-wise. If you like Chicago you should like this band too. -
Audience 7.0 - Perhaps the only known live recording of this band. Well worth having! -

Soundboard 9.6 - Another stellar board with the best kick drum sound ever. Right smack dab in the pocket, and it helps to propel the songs “straight on you” as it were. -
Pro recording 8.8 - A Tape in desperate need of a remastering. Has everything it needs to be amazing. Right now, it is very good, but take the noise out, boost the right frequencies and you will have something MUCH better. -

Soundboard 8.6 - A strange mix that seems to leave out any bass, although I can hear the bass notes somewhere, I think. Still, it is a recording that you have to appreciate in that it’s reasonably clear which is hard to come by with this very densely layered sound. Audience 7.8 - As with most Hawkwind early 70’s aud tapes, it’s a little cluttered being they played so loud but guitars and vocals are prominent in the mix and that REALLY sets this tape above 95% of the others. -

CD 2 - Audience 7.4 - But all instruments can be heard if a touch lo-fi, and slightly crunchy, it’s still decent for the era and chosen for inclusion on this set because it is listenable compares to some of the other 1977 shows. -
Radio Broadcast 9.4 - Smooth and crisp with great bass definition and spot on drum mix. Pretty much a must have. -
Audience 8.7 - A little squashed with guitar kind of low, vocals not bad, drums and bass OK although there’s no great separation of instruments. The good news is the louder you get the better this sounds, strange I know. The show itself? Good rock and roll, what else can you say about these guys? -
Audience 8.3 - A little bit of hiss on this tape but every instrument is distinct and knowing how few live documents exist of this band, you take it! Very very good, and the music…well, if I have to explain you probably want something else but if you know, ‘nuf said! -
Soundboard 8.8 - Good punchy sound if not a little heavy on bass but it’s fine ‘cause that bass is funky and snappin’ coolness bruh. -
Audience 8.9 - Sounding almost like a board tape with little audience interference and a good, immediate sound, emphasis on mid range punch. Excellent! -
