Studio Quality 9.5 - I am thankful for this because it has further taught me to appreciate and respect Clapton’s musicality, and his desire to remain true to himself first and foremost. If you listen to this music without preconditions you realize it’s pretty good and if the man’s name was not Eric Clapton, you’d be thinking this guy should be much bigger. Audience 9.2 - This is a very well done Audience recording from very close to the stage. The music is clear and bright, and the mix of all instruments is really great too. I particularly think the drums sound very real, percussive, and just drive this performance in a very non “laid back” sort of way. Guitar has a lively tone, and as a bonus you get a finally that features Carlos Santana. Audience 9.4 - Well done, a consistent and even quality, captures the feel of the venue and since the equipment used seems to be very high quality, it allowed for plenty of headroom in the recording and that allows the listener to adjust volume and EQ to suit their tastes...not that it needs much. Soundboard 9.6 - So, not every show of the ’74 tour was a train wreck and this should be proof of that. Sure, Clapton occasionally blurts stuff out, sometimes during a song, but performance-wise this is stellar. Sound quality is near perfect. Soundboard 8.8 - A little bit thin, but it’s clear and of course the guitar is really captured well. Vocals are sometimes in the background here, not that it matters because the all important guitar work is so present you will be more focused on it instead. It is a pretty good performance, it was a good night. I can’t complain about this one, I think it will be appreciated by people even those with only a passing interest in Clapton. Audience 9.4 - I really found this to be a real gem. First, I think it starts with a respectful but enthusiastic Japananese audience and then because of the immaculate source tape. The recording, while maybe light on bottom end just a touch, is crisp and clean and features a flawless midrange. Drums have an extremely "live" feel, you almost just kind of look off to your left and right to make sure a drummer isn't there in your living room!

Soundboard 8.7 - A tape that shows some age with a little bit of a lack of high end that would provide more clarity as far as the sound mix. It’s a workable board tape nonetheless and it does feature the antics of Pete Townshend and Keith Moon so there is that. In this mix, it is guitar, bass, drums (and vocals are fine) but don’t expect much more. Studio Quality 8.6-9.5 - I was not expecting this to be anywhere near this good. I kinda just assumed it would be a collection of 4th gen cassette tape garbled noise. It's far from noisy and garbled, it's actually DAMN good! Maybe two or three tracks out of the lot are a bit less clear and dynamic, but those are the minority here. All in all, this set rocks!
