Foghat 7.4 ~ Robin Trower 7.5 ... Interesting concept, including the opening act and headliner in a 2 disc set - but it makes sense to me and it works spectacularly here. The quality is decent, I rate conservatively, you can really sink your ears (and teeth) into both sets but I give the slight edge to Trower's set as he was headlining and therefore probably got better service from sound guy. -
Audience 8.5 - Solid all the way. -
Budokan 1978 - Audience 7.6 - Too much high end, sounds like all the bass was filtered out. Add bass! Mantra Studios 1977 – FM Radio Broadcast 9.0 -

Audience 8.4 - This is a great remaster here, this is a full point and a half better than you’ve heard before. -
CD 1 - FM Radio Broadcast 8.8 - A bit of tape hiss is present but this is a great great show! Lovely performance and decent sound. CD 2 - Audience 7.9 - A tape that went from a dismal 7.2 rating to a very decent 7.9 thanks to some painstaking mastering and restoration work. It was unbelievably hissy but that was mostly removed without sacrificing anything. Comparison was made and the results speak for themselves. -
Audience 7.8 and Audience 6.9 - The second gig is for historical reference as the sound is not great. -
Pro recording 9.5 - Sizzling hot everything is expertly mixed! -
Audience 8.9 - Fantastic! -
Audience 8.8 - Wonderful and dynamic, a great show!...Selling England. -
Audience 7.6 - Obviously taken from a master tape, it’s a good recording that suffers from some kind of sonic limitation with the mic itself judging by the sort of squashed sound and slightly annoying quality to the timbre. Technically speaking the show is well captured and depending on one’s tolerance to the particular offending frequency, can be quite enjoyable (use an EQ to notch out the bad frequency). -
Audience 8.9 - One of the better Lamb recordings almost as good as Groningen but it’s a bit boomier maybe. Still, gotta love this one, it’s really like being there. -
Audience 9.5 - Wonderful in every way, as good as an audience recording can be from 1975. -
Audience 8.5 - Good solid recording of what sounds like it may be an outdoor show. Atmosphere is great! Love it. -
Audience 8.7 - Good strong and clean! Lovely! -
Audience 8.4 - Good mix, everything clear and strong albeit somewhat one dimensional. -
Audience 7.7 - A wide stereo feel, a touch of that large hall sound, pretty clear with a decent mix. Some audience chatter. -

Soundboard 9.3 - Not a pure board, there is some ambiance mixed in from the audience. I think this was a broadcast, it’s quite good! -
Audience 7.3 - Distant and narrow, but seems like a good mastering can fix some of the limitations. Needs a stereo widening and some punch in the mids and highs. -
Audience 9.0 - This is a wonderful recording in almost every way. The sound balance is impeccable. The only complaint is a little crispiness when hard cymbal crashing, otherwise CRANK it! -
Audience 9.2 - Very punchy up front, clean, sweet levels and great mix. Wonderful! -
Soundboard 9.7 -
Soundboard 9.2 - Great if not a tad flat (as most soundboards can be) -
Soundboard 9.7 - A good, bright sounding board and not completely lifeless and flat. -
Audience 8.5 - A touch of tape saturation but pretty powerful sounding and the drums sound great! -
Audience 7.6 - Has a kind of thin quality to it even though you can hear everything on stage. Sounds like it needs a nice big punch in the middle, someone needs to remaster this one. Not crappy, just needs a mastering job. -
Soundboard 8.8 -
Audience 8.9 - Very nice and clear with the keyboards more up front this time. Bass sounds sweet too. A great recording! -
Audience 8.7 - A good and clear sounding tape here, some very minor crackle noise now and then but that is quibbling. This is a great tape, limited only by typical analog tape sonic limitation (where it kind of narrows the bandwidth of the entire frequency range, although it is clear, it lacks that hi-fi punch). -
Soundboard 9.7 - Does not suffer the sdbrd doldrums, it is loud and vibrant. Great! -
Audience 8.3 - Sounds kind of distant, but because it is not echoey you can adjust and then place yourself in the seat of the taper.
