Soundboard and TV 9.3/8.8 - The first two discs are by and large excellent and clear but the last disc is more subdued, still soundboard but the source has aged more and the signal is less bright. Great to listen to, all three discs have a lot to offer. Audience 8.6 - Surprisingly decent, it’s got some “rattle and bones” but overall it is highly listenable with a good timbre to it. Anything from this period is welcome, and this old tape has not only survived the decades intact but delivers on the enjoyment meter considerably. The bonus tracks vary but are generally pretty good quality with the tell-tale sound of vinyl ever present throughout. No attempt was made to clean it up, this is due to the sensitive nature of the high end on these recordings, it would seem any real noise reduction or cleaning would compromise that. Soundboard 9.0 - Interesting hearing this line up in such clarity,  it certainly allows you to make a better judgment on the music, which by the way is pretty damn good. It’s different, in some ways, but it is still very good. My advice is not to go into it thinking you are getting Black Sabbath – rather consider it a Tony Iommi side project, then it makes more sense and will grab you in a better way. FM Broadcast 9.0 - This material was broadcast in 1974, and so you can tell the performances were somewhat pro or at least held up pretty well.  There is a slightly amateurish nature to the old tapes but therein lies the charm, since Joni herself pours charm out of her like maple syrup. Studio Quality 8.8-9.4 - None of this is bad, however there is going to be some hiss on some tracks but it’s not annoying at all. Overall it’s all great, some very very interesting stuff going on here too. Various sources used throughout so sometimes uneven but a noble effort was made to remaster those bits so it flows better, and it does. I like this, it’s a pleasure to listen to because there’s a lot of varied material.
