Audience 6.3 - There is music here, buried under time and dust. Understanding that we have a limited number of pre-Bruce era tapes, and that most of those sound horrid, it is suggested one must hunt down the ones that have been mastered like this one. -
Audience 7.0 - It is one of the better early Audience recordings. Nice and clear, lots of small club atmosphere. Not too bad ! -
Audience 5.0 - Low fi, but so few good recordings from the early days. The lead work is the clearest sound on this, vocals non-existent. Can appreciate the dual guitars on this even though it is low-fi. -
Audience 7.2 - A very desirable early Maiden show because it is one of the better sounding audience recordings. Very few early Maiden shows are well recorded. This one suffers from lack of bottom end but it is rather clear and thus it is sought out by collectors. -
Soundboard 9.2 - What more can one ask? Heavenly bliss. -

Audience 8.2 - A good recording that gives you the whole show in clear, decent quality with maybe the only real flaw being a sort of pushed back guitar but it is there and you can get just about everything in the mix. Enjoyable! -
Soundboard 8.8 - A slightly aged sounding tape that received a much needed EQ and level boost recently that lifted it a full point higher ratings-wise. If you like Chicago you should like this band too. -
Audience 7.0 - Perhaps the only known live recording of this band. Well worth having! -
Audience 7.5 - Not especially great, however if you are collecting you may want to snag this if you don’t have it yet. You do hear the music, it’s not a hot mess, it’s just simply an average sounding audience show. -
Audience 8.4 - Technically speaking, there would be people that would argue with this rating but you have to account for ENERGY and VIBE and this recording bristles with swagger, sweat, and INTENSITY. -

Soundboard 8.8 - The band was recording this show, possibly for a live album. Contrary to what you might think of 80’s Heart, there is no wimp out here, they kick major ass! -
Soundboard 9.6 - Another stellar board with the best kick drum sound ever. Right smack dab in the pocket, and it helps to propel the songs “straight on you” as it were. -
Pro recording 8.8 - A Tape in desperate need of a remastering. Has everything it needs to be amazing. Right now, it is very good, but take the noise out, boost the right frequencies and you will have something MUCH better. -
Soundboard 9.7 - Hard to get much better than this one! -
Audience 8.4 - There’s some obvious flaws in this tape, what sounds like a rather highly compressed sound, but I have to say if you give it a complete listen you will fall in love with it. Case in point – not to be a spoiler, but while playing Magic Man they riff on some classic Yardbirds and it just makes it for me. Just a little riff is all it took for me. I love this show! An absolutely devastating performance you won’t forget about. -

Audience 7.6 - A valiant capture by the intrepid taper, really has a good feel of the venue but the sound itself is kind of in a strange spot in the spectrum. Still it’s good, but you want it to “move” more to the middle, can’t explain it any other way. -

8.8 - 9.0 - Absolutely enjoyable, excellent recording of a band at the PEAK of their mighty powers, a set list that will blow your mind, a performance that rocks the house...any questions? -

Soundboard 8.6 - A strange mix that seems to leave out any bass, although I can hear the bass notes somewhere, I think. Still, it is a recording that you have to appreciate in that it’s reasonably clear which is hard to come by with this very densely layered sound. -
Audience 7.8 - As with most Hawkwind early 70’s aud tapes, it’s a little cluttered being they played so loud but guitars and vocals are prominent in the mix and that REALLY sets this tape above 95% of the others. -

CD 1 - Audience 8.4 - A real treat, since there are so few good live Hawkwind recordings out there. CD 2 - Audience 7.4 - But all instruments can be heard if a touch lo-fi, and slightly crunchy, it’s still decent for the era and chosen for inclusion on this set because it is listenable compares to some of the other 1977 shows. -

Soundboard 9.5 - Outstanding pre-FM source material that showcases one of the top shelf “Krautrock” bands of the early 70’s. -
Radio Broadcast 9.4 - Smooth and crisp with great bass definition and spot on drum mix. Pretty much a must have. -
Pro 9.3 - Sonically superior but the truth is it all depends on what you want out of the live mix. I think its fine myself but some may have opted for more up front vocals. Overall it is quite good. -
Audience 8.7 - A little squashed with guitar kind of low, vocals not bad, drums and bass OK although there’s no great separation of instruments. The good news is the louder you get the better this sounds, strange I know. The show itself? Good rock and roll, what else can you say about these guys?
