Soundboard 9.5 - A very good mix, if there’s any complain I can make it’s that I found the music slightly compressed in the mid frequencies but this is extreme nitpicking…just trying to find a blemish in an otherwise perfect recording I guess. -
Soundboard 9.2 - Pleasant, airy, well balanced but it does lean toward thin sounding to me. Still, it’s not exactly a heavy band anyway, so that leaves the listener with much more stuff to hear in the high range, keys, percussion, etc. Sounds very decent. -
Audience 8.7 - What you get here is a lot of large stadium ambiance, actual recording is pretty realistic from around the middle of the venue – not overpowering and good, clear, loud enough to get a sense of the event and of actually being there. It’s good – it’s not overwhelming – just good. Not a lot of 2016 tapes out there so I like having yet another one since the band played different songs at every venue. -
Audience 9.2 - Startling realism, bright, clear, punchy, and well positioned with some peripheral audience atmosphere to really put you in the seat in front of the band. It does sound like the taper had great seats. Really nice this one. -
Audience 9.1 - Taper had really good seats because you don’t get that cavernous sound you might expect at a venue like this. It’s a warm, articulated sound, makes for a satisfying listen. -
Audience 8.6 - It’s easy to find board tapes from most of their tours so I can understand why one might take a pass on an audience tape but you do get a different perspective here, it’s a “bouncier” sound, a more kinetic feel to the happenings and you know, the Cure sometimes drones on a bit so I like having a recording that helps keep things moving. -
Pro Soundboard 9.3 - Sourced from a pro shot video, the audio thankfully is not too compressed but also not super atmospheric either. It is, however, very clean and well mixed. -

Soundboard 9.7 - This one has a great mid range tightness, and well rounded bottom end without sacrificing any highs at all. It’s pro for sure. Really tasty! -
Audience 8.8 - This came as a total surprise as I never knew it existed…and man, I gotta tell ya this is f’kin AWESOME! This is a band that is crucial to the burgeoning British punk movement but they owe more to the MC5 than the Sex Pistols. This one off show features the band going under the moniker The Doomed because they have a certain Lemmy Kilmister on bass. What a high energy, totally wild and crazy fun gig too! Good sound quality, thankfully! Great setlist with a nice handful of covers that highlight their influences (they even do Silver Machine from Hawkwind!). Audience 7.0 - Do not expect much here, it is not a hi-fi experience at all – but it is a fascinating document and good enough to pull you in to a pretty explosive Doors show. I live for this kind of thing – a tormented sounding Jim Morrison in 1968 basically at the vanguard of the Great American Cultural Renaissance. -

Seattle 1970 FM Broadcast 9.4 - So good to have clear and vibrant live Doors recordings…there’s just not enough of them out there. Hypnotic, and with Jim at the helm it’s a feast for the imagination as to what shenanigans were happening on stage. Cool as HECK! Detroit 1970 FM Broadcast 9.2 - Nice, clean, concise and this is how I want to hear The Doors. There’s so much subtlety and intrigue and you need to be able to hear everything clearly…and with this tape you do. For the track listing on this one, please review the images as we posted a clear photo of the track sheet. -
Soundboard 8.9 - Quality of recording is excellent, although they have to tweak the mix during the show especially the beginning of show 1, but that aside, it is a fantastic document! -

Audience 8.7 - I had a hard time determining whether it was the recording or the PA that caused this tape to fall below the usually excellent quality recordings coming out of the Inglewood Forum around this same time. It’s not terrible; the main issue was an overcrowding of the middle bandwidth. So you get plenty of bottom end and soaring high end (where most guitar leads and vocals, and yes, cymbals are clear) but a lack of separation in that crucial middle. That leaves us with a tape clearly made on decent gear, somewhere in the middle of the venue it sounds like, and likely a master source (zero tape noise), but just not delivering the kind of clarity you would want when you are trying to hear the magical guitar interplay, especially Joe Walsh who just has his own musicality that perks your ears up. Still, a good tape that is worthy of exploration and much appreciated being from that wonderful line-up that featured perennial fave Joe Walsh. Audience 9.2 - This is a really decent recording, it does sort of lean towards an upper mid range emphasis but not to the tape’s detriment, it’s just that is where most of the action is. The drums have a realistic sound, very live and thunderous without being boomy. Vocals are incredibly present and up front here, so this recording has an immediate impact when you listen and it captivates you all the way through to the end. Audience 8.3 - A fine recording all things considered. It’s a big hall, recording comes from somewhere in the middle of the arena but the capture is reasonable albeit without a good definition and some mild boominess. Overall you can be happy with this recording and of course the band has a fine repertoire. -
Audience 8.7 - Both very decent recordings capturing a band that is on the cusp of breaking up, but holding it together very nicely for the shows. Interesting stage banter and occasional extended lead jamming present, certainly worthy of your consideration. -
Soundboard 9.0 and Audience 8.6 - This is a very interesting document of a period of time in the band’s history where they lost a key member of the band in guitarist Randy Bachman. That did not stop them, as these shows attest. Quality varies but is consistently good across all shows with the first part being Soundboard and the rest very clear and reasonably dynamic Audiences. -
