Audience 7.9 - A very clear recording, it can stand a little fattening up but for 1972 it’s quite decent. -
Complex prog rock inspired by Genesis primarily but you will hear a lot of different things that might remind you of any of a dozen other bands. These guys were just playing music they loved and did not mind if it crossed genre too much. They began in Houston in 1970, the CD contains liner notes so you get more of their history. Very cool stuff! -
Pro 8.8 - At times this recording gets even better but there are tape problems, what sounds like tracking issues (if this came from a video source), but overall it is very good and was taped professionally for broadcast. The DVD is pro shot, but suffers from age deterioration, tracking issues, color bleed, etc. but in fairness it is a very old video format and those old ¾” umatic tapes either held up or they failed, that these still played is amazing. -
Audience 8.4 - Pretty darn clean with a good, solid bass sound, and drums sound very real and loud. -

Audience 7.8 - What I really like about this show is the sound of the bass, a round, brassy sound and of course played with great power and finesse. The sound field gets a touch crowded at times, but this is really a totally exciting tape with that power of the band really palpable! -
Audience 8.9 - Super dynamic range! When the crowd kicks in after a song ends it is magical. Great! -
Audience 8.8 - Very clear but a touch on the compressed side. One thing is, you can totally CRANK this and it performs flawlessly – no break up, and you’ll get that punch and richness. It needs volume , the louder the better. -
Audience 8.8 - Great stereo sound field, wide, clear, and lots of atmosphere. Good show! -
Audience 8.2 - A good sounding recording if you want to just know what is happening on stage and don’t mind a perfectly balanced mix, or crispness in the highs. Some breaking up at volume, where the intensity of this band is just too much for the tapers equipment. Still, I have to tell you, there is reward in this tape if you stick it out. Not saying it gets that much better, but I am saying this is one GREAT rock band! Just overwhelming intensity, and interesting compositions, it keeps you interested to hear what happens next. -
Audience 8.0 - Very forceful and loud capture, some taper conversations present, but a very immediate live feeling as if this could have been taped a couple of years ago. Some high frequencies have a squelchiness to them, but when the band is all playing together the audio retains a more comfortable timbre. Overall this is pretty good stuff, and very heady music. I’ve heard people compare them to Pink Floyd, and to be honest I do hear that in some of their compositions, but that is not entirely accurate in describing them. Maybe if you said they were stylistically similar to PF but with a Deep Purplish ensemble approach to the sound, you would be closer. -
Audience 8.4 - Very decent, with good clarity on guitars, some tape noise present but not intruding on the sounds of the music. Sometimes this gets a little over saturated but not to distortion, just more in a little cluttering but this is still way too good of a gig, and a very decent capture, so I can’t slag on it just because there are some minor flaws. -
Audience 8.4 - A steady and powerful recording with emphasis on the keys. Not super clear, not even super dynamic, but the sound occupies a decent middle ground where everything can be heard with some good midrange punch. Worth having for sure! -
Audience 8.4 - Very clear recording that sits just a little further back in the spectrum that I would prefer but that helps provide more atmosphere so that is the trade off. It’s a decent recording you can enjoy. -
Audience 9.0 - Great definition and a solid spectral range if just the slightest touch of crowding in the mids once the band is full blast, but it totally rocks and you will love it! -
Audience 8.5 - Clear recording that lacks a bit of upper dynamics but has good low and mid range, although not a super defined quality, but it’s a great recording to my ears. -
Audience 8.9 - Superb detail, especially mids and highs which are spot on. Very lovely in all regards. -
Audience 7.6 - Thin and mono. You will want to EQ this, but don’t give up on it completely, the set list is awesome, and you do adjust to the sound a bit. -

Soundboard 7.8 – 8.7 - A mixed bag, but all of it is decent and ranges to very decent. -
Aud/FM? 7.7 - Hard to say really what the source is for this one. To my ears, it sounds like it was recorded for local broadcast, and being the year 1974 was probably sponsored by a local AM radio station It sounds like the engineers did spare the expense of the recording, so, yeah, it’s less than what you might expect of a broadcast. -
Audience 7.3 - Don’t let the poor rating diminish what is a very rare artifact. No other recordings of this period exist, which is hard to believe. Coming from a master cassette, the sound is cavernous and not well defined, but it is also very clear which may sound impossible but it’s true. It’s clean, and not a complete waste at all. In fact, I listened to it, gave it a chance, and decided that it is acceptable for hard core fans who want to know what White Trash sounded like live, in Detroit, in 1977. And they were stunning, to be honest. -

Audience 8.3 - There’s nothing I do not love about this band, especially their lovely singer with her delicate lilting voice that ranges dramatically up and down when the music calls for it. Splendid! -
Audience 8.8 - Simply magnificent! This is one that you will play over and over, for reasons beyond what a short description can cover. I am thrilled to be able to relive this gig, so long ago, in a time when a band played whatever they felt and not what someone else suggested. If you are familiar with this band, I applaud your excellent taste in music. If you are not familiar with them, may I suggest giving this music a try? You will not be disappointed that I can promise. -
Audience 8.8 - Very accurate detail and good mix make for a lot of fun with this. -

Audience 8.5 - Average for a newer recording, although at times it gets clearer possibly because taper moves into a better spot. Sometimes a very annoying wooer makes his stupid presence known and worse he has to attempt to sing along often out of key and not getting the words right. Why? Why must you? Next time stay home and listen to the records by yourself. -
Audience 8.6 - A touch on the thin side maybe, and sounds from somewhere in the middle of the venue so you do get more of the atmosphere. There is a lot of crowd excitement and participation. Guitar sound terrific actually, cutting through everything right to the ears in a good way, adding to the excitement. Dweezil sounds great and absolutely shreds this gig. -
Audience 8.9 - A great recording in almost every respect, in fact it is almost too clean! Wonderful. -
Audience 8.5 - A very clean recording that is not as clear as it is clean. Not to say it is muddy, it is saying there is a lack of defined high end, the recording rests mainly in mid range and low end, which is nice and round. I think by adding your own treble boost, you can turn this into a 9.0 recording. Needs upper mid and highs. -
