SDBRD 9.6 - yeah this is the stuff! Gong may not be mentioned in the same breath with all the other notable Euro 70’s icons but they should be. -
Soundboard 8.8 - A good live radio broadcast with emphasis on the guitar where it should be of course. Sound ranges towards treble and that gives guitar lots of bite, however everything else is right there. -
Pro FM 9.6 - Sound quality is absolutely spot on but so is the band. They were well rested and rehearsed, and it clearly shows with stunning accuracy and a packed set list too. Get this! -
SDBRD 9.2 Excellent of course with some early pegging of the meters that gets worked out pretty quickly. I like where the bass is in this mix. -
Aud 8.3 - A legendary gig, mainly because of the covers they play for the encore. The tape has a rough beginning but eventually evens out to reveal a surprisingly powerful capture. Most collectors consider this one a must have and from what I understand this source comes from a master tape. -
Soundboard 9.5 - A very nice mix, as if done for a proposed live LP. Band is very tight. -

The mix is good, the sound is decent, the performance is very good. I see no reason why not to have this. -

GREAT find and appreciated a little bit more being that it’s a Grace Under Pressure tour gig which for some reason there’s not a plethora of excellent recordings from this tour. -
Audience 8.5 - A decent recording that stays pretty much in the middle of the spectrum in a mildly compressed fashion…so highs are not too high and lows are not boomy. Audience 8.4 - While not nearly as spectacular as the Uniondale ’77 (a pro-mixed board btw), this is still an important tape being that it is among the last of the Kath era shows. It’s also not bad at all – in a narrow bandwidth it manages to offer decent separation of instruments and nothing annoying in the frequencies. It’s a solid capture on limited equipment and for that I give the thumbs up to the tapers. Audience 8.3 - On this tape, you will hear all instruments (guitar out front) pretty clearly, not much crispness but decent bottom end and midrange intact. Slightly muddy in the middle with occasional brighter spots (definite improvement by the beginning of disc 2) throughout as the taper moves into better position. A touch of hiss is present. Not bad, not stellar, I would get it though if you like Rory’s set list during this time (Shadow Play, etc.). Rory Gallagher .... Soundboard 9.1 - I am kind of doubting whether it is truly a board tape because it doesn’t have that sort of dry and immediate sound, it’s got too much atmosphere. That being said, it is definitely pro, and could be open mics placed strategically around the stage. Sounds great! -
Audience 9.7 - The question you might ask is “do I really need another version of this?” and the short answer is “Hell Yes”. Why? Because technology has advanced to the point where you can take multiple sound sources (in this case four) and merge or “matrix” them together seamlessly to create a sonic tapestry so good it takes your breath away.
