Dallas, TX. based hard rock/jazz fusion group heavily influenced by Jean Luc Ponty and Mahavishnu Orchestra. Enjoyed a brief but fruitful life span between the years 1975 and 1977, and having at least two significant line-up changes. Bassist Roy Vogt would later go on to find much success touring with legendary singer Englebert Humperdinck and teaching and recording many compositions in Nashville, most notably with guitarist extraordinaire Stan Lassiter.

Audience 8.7 - This is a decent tape that delivers some sense of the venue and the power of the band in a live setting, it's not "relaxed" sounding but definitely hard rock music at volume...but that being said there is some slight harmonic distortion somewhere in the upper mid band range, and if you had to choose where your live recording suffered, it would be here because it doesn't do as much damage to the sound taken as a whole as you might suppose. It's still a really good recording...with limitations. FM Broadcast 8.9 - Good because it's a broadcast, but there is some compression so you do not get the crisp, soaring highs and separation of instruments is not perfect. It's a somewhat "rough" professional recording and I am not talking about just age or generation of tape either - some of this is probably in the actual recording and/or live sound mix. That being said - it's a really good tape nonetheless and worthy of your collection. Blue Oyster Cult Centrum Worcester, MA. September 24, 1982 01. Pre-show interview 02. Audience 8.8 - A rather good tape, it's kind of rare to find something like this just because of the extreme volume and what not that metal presents to taping gear - but this one shines. Sometimes the rhythm guitar seems to drop out a little in the mix, every now and then but that might be a PA or mix thing. Soundboard 9.4 - A lovely bright and clear sound, only noise I hear is between songs. I also love the fact that this dates from a period where there's not an abundance of Kansas recordings. I have to consider this a must have for Kansas collectors. Portland - Audience 9.1 - Excellent, clear, and a nice atmosphere to it. Denver - Soundboard 9.6 - This board tape is expressive, bright (listen to Bob's vocals), and very well mixed (sounds like vocals panned to one side, back up vocals to the other side...interesting!).
