Soundboard 9.7 - Both shows are superb soundboard recordings featuring a band really at the peak of their powers. I think once Lotus came out, everything had really become solid and a little experimental perhaps but ultimately incredible. The touring only cemented an already tight band. -
Audience 9.0 - Great document! Live, exciting, forceful and driving. This is a great find! It does have the tell-tale audience tape feel but for how well the bass sounds because if it was done on cassette, it had to be a professional deck, so I am inclined to believe this was done on reel to reel. Winterland 73 Audience 8.7 - A huge sounding recording that also features as an exciting part of the show the rapturous applause by an adoring audience after each song. The music is very lively and upbeat, the sound is very good, a lot of atmosphere. SDBRD 8.9 - I would have rated this higher but I am not thrilled with the way it is mixed – to my ears too dry and thin. It is perfectly clear, very bright and slamming though, but I need more “atmosphere” and this recording is a PURE board feed. I mean, it’s awesome don’t get me wrong. -
Audience 8.6 - A decent capture here, it sure sounds like a master source was used, there’s no tape noise at all and all the highs are perfectly intact. -
Audience 8.5 - Lively sound for the live portion, the demos are “studio” pro. -
Audience 7.5 - Vocals are very up front, overall it’s clear but music is not “full” sounds a little behind in the mix. Add mid band compression and this one would smoke. -
Audience 9.1 - Excellent dynamics, bass is tight, a good warm and clear recording! -

Audience 8.3 - Nothing overtly wrong here, but it is a tad on the hot side with a very tiny amount of break up in the highs where it is maybe pushing so hard, this could be tape limitation. It’s a good recording nonetheless. -
Audience 9.7 - Superb in every detail. -
Audience 8.0 - Crisp and loud mids/highs with a little lacking in bottom but very enjoyable nonetheless. The band sometimes sounds a little unsure, but the energy is great.
