SDBRD 9.1 - Classic stuff, a great band at a great time, having a great time! The crowd is amped, the guitars are pumping, the bass and drums are thumping…aw yeah! -
Soundboard 9.7 - Spectacular! They play what sounds like, to my ears, the same vintage equipment they must have used originally, or maybe their equipment was new in 1973 but I guess it is vintage now…as are the dudes ha ha! Anyway, this is simply a MUST if you love classic heavy Italian prog of the 70’s. Soundboard 8.4 - A very obscure Danish hard rock band with a lot of heaviness to their sound, consequently the signal is maybe slightly overloaded but this is still a great recording and can be immensely enjoyed by all. -
Radio Broadcast 8.3-9.0 - Very old, and quite rare source material means a little analog degradation in the earlier broadcast but gets much better for the rest of the material. -
Audience 8.4 - A smooth recording, pretty stable, but does lack some punch therefore it is recommended to “season to taste”, but thankfully the pallet is there to lay on your coloring. Some minor tape hiss pervades but is kind of background, my hunch is that this tape went through some mastering process to add boost and it helps a lot. It’s a good tape and a great show! The playing is top shelf by everyone, backing band is sharp and help to allow all the guitar pyrotechnics. 26th October – 21st December 1981: ALVIN LEE BAND - European & US Tour. Pro Broadcast 9.3 - A long improvisational track which really is, in my opinion, way ahead of everyone else in terms of trying new things and being completely off the cuff with sounds and textures. It’s not like traditional space rock, in fact it is not even rock, although the band are players and can make noise when they want to make noise. The fidelity is solid, I can hear everything very clearly and ambience is abundant. Audience 7.1 - A rough tape that improved a lot with some mastering. Now, you actually can really tell what they are doing! Worth it for the improved sound. -
Audience 7.3 - This tape is a welcome find mainly due to the scarcity of live Amon Duul tapes in existence. Sound is not hi-fi, there is some tape noise, there is general noise, and there is music which thankfully can be heard through the din. Actually the mid to highs are intact, some bottom end is missing, it’s still not a completely annoying tape at all, can be enjoyed for what it is. -
Austin 2007 Audience 9.6 - Excellent dynamics, strong recording signal that sounds like you are sitting right in front of the band. You can almost make out her diction of lyrics…almost ha ha! A lovely recording. Toronto 2007 Audience 9.1 - A good recording that features nice instrument separation and clarity, it isn’t as round and tight as the Austin show on disc 1 but it’s very strong in its own right.
